I went to this "music store" today and I've never been more insulted, disgusted, and offended in MY ENTIRE LIFE.

A great experience 2/15/2011

First, I'm not a professional musician. Even though I'm not, and therefore not a steady stream of income, these folks took care of my needs right away. I called ahead and was informed they were busy at the moment but I could leave my daughters guitair and pick it up later. When I arrived, it was not as hectic as earlier and they fixed it up within the hour. That is GREAT customer service. I could not be happier. The cost seemed to be very reasonable too. Thanks to the team at Danny Ray's for excellent customer service. more

Can't find a nicer bunch of folks 7/17/2009

Great selection of musical instruments, amps and some accessories. Good prices, not a lot of wanna-be's playing guitar at 10 while your trying to shop, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not a lot of sound reinforcement stuff or accessories (pedal boards, for example) but that's probably because of the store's size. I understand there is a new location being planned that will be much larger and no doubt will have more of that stuff. Pros: Prices, service, nice guys Cons: Accessories and parts limited more

Danny Ellis - owner is not a person of his word! 12/6/2008

I called Danny Ellis, owner of Dan Rays Music to ask him the price of a keyboard I wanted to buy and he told me $237.00 because he said it was on sale. I live quite a distance from his store, but went to pick up the keyboard because it was such a good deal. When I got there, Danny looked at the price on the keyboard he had on display and quickly exclaimed, "Oh dear, I think I made a mistake. Do you remember how much I told you was the price of this keyboard?" I said, "Of course......$237.00." He said, "I can't sell it for that price. I don't know what I was thinking." He then told me the correct price would be $330.00. I could not believe what he was saying. As a person of integrity, he should have honored what he told me on the phone. He left me with such a DISGUSTING feeling regarding his character that I will never go there again and never recommend him to anyone I know. Pros: none....my experience was very negative. Cons: Danny Ellis the owner is not a man of integrity. more

Great music store and repair shop 7/13/2008

This store should be "your" music store if you live anywhere near it. It has a great selection of instruments and accessories, plus a great in-house repair shop. They will treat you right and you will always get quality in every aspect as any small shop owned and operated by the owner. Their survival depends on you loving this place and they deliver. Also they are very aware of large corp. competitors prices and they price the same or very, very close to it. Support the locals and make this your music store. Pros: Pretty much everything Cons: I'd say the only con is you might be able to get better deals on strings at Guitar Center more

Great Gear with all of the Major Lines Fender Martin Yamaha Schecter Used Gibsons and Taylors you get all of the Products of the Big Box Retailers but with the Quality of a Locally owned Independent Store!! more

Best Music Store in Round Rock 5/11/2007

I was very glad to see a music store the caliber of Danny Ray's come into Round Rock. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of Fender and Martin products, but they are very nice and a pleasure to do business with. I got a great deal on a Fender Telecaster and I plan to make several more purchases there in the near future. Pros: Great location - broad selection more
