Daniel Phillip's Hair Salon

Dan is a very talented colorist. Not only does the color of my hair look beautiful and natural, I've admired the work he's done on other clients, too. I've received more compliments on this new and improved ""natural"" color than I have from previous colorings. My entire family likes Dan's much better.\r \r Also, Dan is the only stylist in my entire life who has ever taken the time to do a complete consultation (1 hour) like you read about in magazine make-overs rather than just a quick 5-10 minute conversation about what I want. His consultation included a comprehensive assessment of my facial structure, which assets to draw attention to and which to conceal, my lifestyle, my ideas, his thoughts & ideas, etc., etc.\r \r His communication skills are outstanding. One small example ... I showed him a picture of a hairstyle I liked. He told me what he saw and then asked what I saw in it. We both saw two completely different things! I was pleased to have the opportunity to compare notes.\r \r In the end, my haircuts have been top notch, remaining easy to style in between salon visits, too.\r \r Very approachable, down to earth, relaxed and fun atmosphere. I am extremely picking about my hair! Dan is an incredible sytlist, very caring -he LISTENS! I have just had the best cut and style of my life. I highly recommend Dan and Suzanne. more

Although I have had good results from this salon, I stopped going there because the last time I went to this salon they destroyed my hair. It was burned and frizzy by inproper color application, she went too light and then had to add color back! The color looked weird and the texture was frizzy and burnt. I ended up going to a Newbury Street salon and got the shortest hair cut I have had in my life. It was a horrible expirence. I also got a bikini wax at this salon and got infected hair folicles (just before my summer vacation, it ruined my vacation). I would not recommend this salon. more
