""5 STARS"" (or More) !!!\r
\r
Dane Shulman (DSA) definitely came thru for me!\r
\r
Before I discovered DSA--or rather, before DSA discovered me--the tremendous burden of tens of thousands of dollars in hospital bills, due to a motor vehicle accident (MVA), loomed on my horizon. As I am on Disability, with a very limited income and in Subsidized Housing, I might well have faced that burden for the rest of my life.\r
\r
So there I was, at the main offices of Massachusetts Div. of Motor Vehicles, trying to obtain the insurance/contact info of the driver who had struck me (a pedestrian--jay-walking, alas; 'tis the ""Boston vice""). I'd been sent there by Brigham & Women's (BWH) ER Billing Dept & my local DMV--and of course, was getting the same old run-around.\r
\r
""Oh no, we can't provide that kind of info [to mere mortals like you].""\r
\r
Fortunately, DSA's Chief Investigator happened to be sitting nearby, and overheard my laments at the service counter. He happily interjected himself into my quandary, saying he might be able to help.\r
\r
Within minutes, he'd read thru the Boston Police (BPD) Accident Report I had in hand, made a call to the home ofc (""Sure, we'll take your case on""), and had me sign on the proverbial dotted line--courtesy of his mobile office out of the back of his SUV!\r
\r
(Call 'em ""ambulance-chasers"" all you want--THIS IS 1 ""AMBULANCE"" I'M VERY, VERY GLAD THEY PURSUED!!!)\r
\r
The Investigator was forthright and very no-nonsense; I knew just what to expect from the get-go. He said my chances for a ""settlement"" per se were slim, but that Dane Shulman would work to make sure that my med-bills were paid (via Medicare) and that I received my PIP proceeds minus contingency fees. I told him that was all I would have hoped for.\r
\r
(Had I not met up with this salient fellow @ Mass-DMV, I'd probably STILL be navigating thru heartless bureaucracies--all the while with BWH Collections breathing down my neck!)\r
\r
DSA's Claims Adjuster next picked up the ball, and within weeks was steadfastly pursuing my Claim. (Months later, after ceaseless efforts to contact the driver, witnesses at the scene, etc, she was to discover that the driver had been UNINSURED at the time of the Accident! Imagine ME trying to find that out on my own!)\r
\r
It took a while, but within a year, I had my PIP disbursement! In the interim, ALL of my ER medical bills had been paid (or, ""negotiated"" by Medicare).\r
\r
As it turned out, that disbursement ck proved to be more of a blessing than I ever could have imagined.\r
\r
(Incidentally, I now use pedestrian crosswalks RELIGIOUSLY--and admonish all my friends and associates to follow suit!)\r
\r
And in addition to handling my accident claim, DSA provided an atty who gave me an excellent free, ON-THE-SPOT Consultation for another legal matter!\r
\r
I HEARTILY RECOMMEND DSA--especially for MVA/Personal Injury cases!\r
\r
Thank you, Dane Shulman, for restoring sanity to my life!
