Dance Expressions

Dance Expressions is an extremely welcoming studio. They have teachers that really care about their students and they do everything the can to make them feel like part of the Dance Expressions family. The only downfall at this studio is favoritism and lack of technique. Although this place is warm and welcoming, it isn't somewhere to go if you are looking to become an Elite dancer. more

My daughter is so blessed to have become apart of this amazing dance family. I am the father of 7 children and out of these I have only one daughter. When my wife wanted to enroll my baby girl into dance I wasn't ready to let her go. I didn't know if they would love her as much as I do. From the day she started, 3 yrs. ago, I knew we had made the right decision. She is in an environment that teaches self respect and has allowed her to grow into the princess I always knew she was. There are so many growing opportunities for her. She has competed in competitions and at the age of 5 brought home her first 1st place trophy and overall high score win in a 4-8 yr. division. My daughter looks up to the older girls in the studio. I love that the owner, Judi Tempio, uses the older students, whom these little girls look up to, to help mold and teach the little ones. I also like that the older students are aloud to help teach so that they too can learn responsibility and how to be a positive role model. There are many fun activities molded into the year such as Halloween hay rides, Christmas parties and every child is honored with cup cakes for the class on their birthday. I would highly recommend any parent looking for the positive dance experience to check this school out. Here you wont find the ""Dance Moms"" mentality, you will find a studio that brings meals to one of its families when they are sick or down, you will find a studio where someone calls to check on your child if they are not in class because they are truly noticed and missed. You will find a dance owner who in the mist of battling cancer, put the studio and her dance family first before herself. You will find a dance owner and teachers who know your child by name(and their siblings :0) ) , who hug your child as they come in and leave and who genuinely care for you and your family. My daughter runs into the studio to hug Judi and her manager, Candy and wont leave at the end of the night till she receives yet another hug. more

My twins have attended Dance Expressions for a year now. They fell in love w/ Miss Judy in a heart beat. The studio is a warm, inviting, encouraging and inspiring atmosphere. I highly recomend any interested dancer, beginner or novice to stop in and check it out. more

In the past I would have sent anyone to this place but since my daughter has gotten older there is just no place for her at this studio. There are no classes for high school students. The older students are often pulled out to teach the younger students in classes where the teacher doesn't bother to show up or doesn't feel like teaching that night. Of course you still pay for your kid to be in the class that she teaches. You also better make sure you pay on time because your financial transactions are posted on the wall for all to see.\r \r My kids have grown up in this studio and now there is nothing left for them. It used to be a family but it has just turned into a hot mess over the last couple of years. The competition team has dropped off to half what it was just 3 years ago. more

I have been to many studios in the area. I by far reccommend Dance Expressions. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. My daughter was so nervous to take her first class, and Judy helped her nerves and was very understanding. She knew what she was doing, and she handled the situation well. We have been here for four years now, and we won't go anywhere else. I have been to many dance studios where parents hide shoes from students at competitions, and where the kids try to break other kids fingers before you dance (true stories), and I just did not want my kids to be around that. Every dance studio has their clicks. I dont think Dance expressions is that bad with that though. I think Judy does a great job making everyone feel welcomed. Even if you are taking just regular classes and are not in the competition group, she still includes you unlike most studios. I have never had an issue where anything has been lost or something because it was unorganized. She works day and nigh more

Don't go here. Judy is the owner and she is a real biatch. She is rude, the teachers are rude. If you are in the little "click" you are treated OK. If not, its screw you... more

This studio is completely unorganized and chaotic. Teachers are rude and make snide remarks to students. Studio owner can't even afford to pay her teachers so they talk about opening their own school in direct competition, and speaking of the competitions aren't even taken seriously. It's an all around god awful place to attend. The only thing they keep up on is the latest drama. It's not worth paying for. If you really want to dance this is not the studio for you. more

Dance expressions is an outstanding dance studio. The owner really makes sure she knows each and every student. This is a great place to go to meet new friends. Dance expressions offers dance to people of all ages. Boy or Girl! more

This is where I take my dance lessons and I love it. My teacher is very nice and talented too. The owner has special events/parties for us a couple times a year. It is a very worthwhile experience. more

Wonderful dance studio offering classes in ballet, tap, hip-hop and combo classes for kids. Prices are very reasonable and the owner goes out of her way to offer extra events for the children. Owner knows all the kids by name. more
