MY GRAND-DAUGHTER DANCED WITH MISS NANCY FOR SOME YEARS BEFORE SHE MOVED OUT OF SUFFOLK. UNTIL SHE MOVED SHE LOVED DANCE MORE THAN ANYTHING - AFTER THE MOVE SHE ATTENDED DANCE CLASS BUT LOST HEART BECAUSE SHE MISSED DANCE DIVAS SO MUCH. I just signed my 6 year old in a beginner class with Miss Nancy and she is wonderful! The way she teaches the kids is fantastic! I don' t know what is going on with all this HYPE about the studio... It is pathetic actually to be slandering a studio you have danced at since you were a kid. Every teacher/dance instructor inspires you to become who you are as a dancer! If you have outgrown it, it is YOUR opinion and you move on. Thank the studio for the knowledge and move on! Whether there are ill feelings for whatever it is that happend. That is business, and sometimes unfortunately, things happen that maybe some people aren't happy with or don't understand. But, slandering her studio on the internet is just plain WRONG!\r \r My daughter enjoyed her experience with Miss Nancy so much... she ran to hug her! If you are a parent and would like your young one to feel special and have a great, healthy first dance learning experience.. I would highly recommend her! :) Pros: Miss Nancy is WONDERFUL! more

Okay so, I am one of the competition girls at Dance Divas, and decided to write this out of my anger from reading the other reviews. First of all I have to say that I don't know how some people have the nerve to write about the loss of people from the competition team and how the only reason the people left do well at competition is because we were entered in the lowest competition categories. I think you people should finally shut up, and move on. How can you waste your time to keep talking about this studio, after about a year the events happened. I just don't understand, do you have nothing better to do? I'm also hurt at the fact that us competition girls that are left, are totally being insulted by saying we only do well in low competition categories. Next, about the mini team. Yes, I know they looked up to most of the other dancers, and they all left, but the mini team does not have anything to do with the events that occurred! Also, the competition girls this year, took our time to go watch their number and cheer them on. So I don't really see why there is a reason to complain. Now I saw in a different review that most of you had unanswered questions about last year. I believe that most of the Competition Moms (not all) caused drama. Sure there was drama between the girls, but most of this was caused by the moms without us even knowing. Each girl that left, had their own reason for leaving. I even have unanswered questions about everything that happened, but you know what? I really don't care at all, because I moved on and I don't wanna waste my time thinking about it because its their problem, not mine. I DO NOT CARE, I just wanna continue dancing, and having fun, because thats all its really about, and some just don't understand that. Lastly, I also wanna thank my best friends and former competition girls for coming to support me. Both my children have been attending Dance Divas for the past three years now. I have personally seen the studio go through a terrible transition which was heartwrenching and confusing for many of us. There are many unanswered questions as to what happened last year and many of you out there that would love to fill all of us with your stories. I myself have many stories to tell both good and bad. Miss Nancy and Carol are not saints and definitely are not the best business smart but when it comes to teaching the kids how to dance Miss Nancy and teachers like Miss Julie are amazing! It is sad that the competition team is down to three and yes I do believe that the competition team before at 12 was stronger...it better be at 12! But Tiffany and Rijianna were amazing this year and had former competition girls supporting them! Thanks to those of you who were there this year voting them and Danielle our newest addition on. She rocked! But what are you ladies doing bashing the competition girls? How about the mini team? Do you know how many of them looked up to you? Waiting for the moment to stand on stage with you and were crushed when they came back in Septemeber to find you all gone....my kids including? Well they worked their butts off along side Miss Nancy and Mrs. Tori and earned their trophies fair and square. Don't you remember when you entered as a novice? dancer4ever123, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. She has fired any teacher that became peroples favorites. She had us make a list at the diner after competition of our top favorite teachers. It's funny that all of them got fired. Were you there when Ms. Natasha quit? nancy was screaming her head off at her. Mr. David? He was the best teacher this studio ever had. Ms. Marlena? her routine one overall small group. Why would the other teachers be jealous? All that ms. nancy can choreograph is cheesy, trick-laced routines. ALL of the top routines last year were choreographed by other teachers. \r \r How is this the best studio on long island? The competition team has 3 members because the rest of them left (there were 12 last year). The only reason that the current routines do as well as they do in competition is because she enters them in the lowest competition categories. A la secondes in primary? Please. sorry cahlypso0 you are very very very wrong because that is not even true. this studio is a great studio she is not jelous at all. first she won dances at dance competitions better then those teachers and they were jelous of her that's why they left and she didn't kick them out. don't listen to the people who are saying it's a bad studio because it's not i'm telling you this studio is the best in long island. it has everything your daughter/son wants, so if you want to sign your daughter/son up to dance go to this studio!!!!!!! This studio is alright. I know many people who have attended the studio and some loved it. some havent. for me personally, i think the director was nice sometimes. but i haveno place in saying anything. except that the competition team was amazing untill the best dancers left the studio. more

this is a horrible studio. i only went there for a year before I left and I left graciously and politely and the director then had the nerve to tell people that I got ""kicked out"". She does not care about her students like a dance teacher should and doesn't have any experience with handling with kids. She also fired teachers out of complete jealousy when they scored higher at competition. After I left her competition team went from 12-3. How nice is that? I would not recommend this studio if you plan on having a fun and pleasant dance experience. Pros: nothing. Cons: everything. more

I signed up my 2 girls at this studio and they have been here from the beginning and they are having the time of their life.My girls practice togeather at home and all I hear is giggling and tapping sounds.They are so happy that I decided to take an adult class and it is sooooo much fun.It is a great way to get in shape the fun way.The staff is always so friendly and polite and you can tell they love what they do.The owner is the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met.She truly knows her stuff and is very caring of her students to give them the best dance experience and education you can find.This studio resonates with special people and everlasting fun fun fun. What a wonderful studio-I love all what they have to offer for my child and the caring and superb people who work there.My child has been so happy at this studio and I cant say enough about it.The owner just loves what she does and it really builds my childs self esteem.The staff answered all my questions with ease and are always so nice and professtional and kind to everyone.The children all get along so well.I highly recommend this studio who is looking for fun,friends and self esteem not to mention the quality of the dances as well.this is a studio you should enroll in. THIS IS THE BEST STUDIO I HAVE COME ACROSS .YOU GET THE ATTENTION YOU NEED FOR YOUR CHILD. This studio is GREAT!!!!! I learn so much in this studio. I always have fun and its top notch. The owner is amazing because she teaches right and NOT WRONG steps. Everyone that comes out of class comes out with a smile on their face U I am proud to dance at this studio because its the best in long island. I have been to other studios and nothing comes close to the quality and professionalism of Miss Nancy and the staff at dance divas. I am so excited to dance at dance divas that I cant wait to get into my dance classes.If you want to dance come dance here because you will get the attention and right moves to become the ballarina you want to be. This studio used to be one of the best around until the director, Nancy, went on a power trip. She drove away the best dancers, kicked out a few for no apparent reason and fired the best damn teachers that studio had because she got jealous of them.\r \r The competition team went from around 12 people to 3 in the span of 4 months. That should say something about the studio.\r \r She fired the best teacher because he had to call in, his grandfather was deathly ill. The only obligations that he had that day were two solos and both girls said that it was fine to skip that week. Nancy proceeded to fire him.\r \r This woman is one of the worst people that I have ever met, I left classes crying so often that I lost track. It's only a matter of time before she has to shut down. This place is the best. My daughter has attended this school for three years and couldn't be happier. The teachers are both professional and creative. The atmosphere in the studio is friendly and welcoming. This place is a must have! Pros: too many to list more
