My family and I love Dana's. My fav. guy is Eric, he's an artist, makes my poor nails look beautiful. I'm leaving now for a mani/pedi, lucky me. Sue Carney

Stop hating! 4/4/2009

If they were rude to you, it's probably because you were rude to them first. The staff is very nice as long as you're respectful. I have seen some of the rudest customers come in and they still bite their tongues and stay pleasant. As for their services... I've been going to them for about a month and a half now for my acrylics and they do a great job that holds up for the whole 2 weeks. I can't say that for other places I've been to. Normally they break before the 2 weeks is up (especially at Paris Salon just up the street). I haven't gotten my eyebrows waxed here yet but do plan on it soon. I would definitely recommend Dana's to a friend. more

Good nail salon! 6/27/2008

I like this nail salon. Pretty clean. Not the friendliest people on earth but it's so hard to understand them, I wouldn't want them to be friendly. I usually go with my friends so I don't mind them being unfriendly. They give a great French manicure. They speak in their own language even when doing nails which makes me a little uncomfortable like they aren't paying attention but at the end it's really nice. It's affordable. About $35 for French mani/pedi for both. more

Not Great At All 6/10/2008

I used to go to Dana's a lot when it first opened. Not any more. The service just seemed to get progressively worse. They skimped so much on service and just plain old courtesy. Whatever happened to customer service? It's just so disappointing to expect to be treated well and RELAX but then get in there and be shuffled around like a piece of cheese. So bad - don't go. more

Worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon! 3/5/2008

I stopped at Dana's for a mani/pedi. I asked to start soaking my feet while my manicure was being done and they didn't like that. I then asked the price and was told that the usual price was $35.00 for both but the price on Mon/Tues was only $30, a $5.00 discount. After 5 to 10 min of soaking I was informed by the manager of the day that I would not be eligible to receive the $5.00 discount because I had already soaked for 10 min and used extra time and electricity. I told her that I had never experienced this in any other shop and I did not think that was fair. If "no soaking" was the rule I should have been notified up front ... (so much for relaxation). I was also told that I needed special "stuff" for my callouses and that would be another $5.00. At that point I informed her that I did not want to finish my manicure and did not want to have a pedicure either. The manager tried to illicit other clients in her cause, which I found quite embarrassing. There were 3 other clients and I believe they all found the incident uncomfortable as well. She proceeded to call me cheap, informing me that nothing in America is free. I asked her to please stop talking to me because I had nothing to say and I was no longer interested in what she had to say. This only exacerbated her anger and she said "no", I won't be quiet. She also announced that she thought I was a very rude person and that I was never to return to the shop because they don't need cheap people like me. She also let me know that she expected me to pay the additional $5.00 for the soaking, to which I told her that she would not get 1 red cent beyond the cost of the manicure. I paid her $12.00 for an incomplete manicure (my choice) and I refused to pay the requested additional $5.00. Of course, my concerns were not of money, but priciple. I was most upset by the unprofessional manner in which I was treated. I would never return to or recommend Dana's to anyone. However, I was in desperate need of a pedicure because I don't usually have the spare time to get one, so I proceeded up Washington St to Paris Nails where I was treated with absolute kindness. They even insisted on finishing the less than perfect manicure that I received @ Dana's and refused payment for their time. Although the way I was treated @ Dana's had nothing to do with Paris Salon, they felt obligated to apologize for the way I was treated because they felt it gave their profession a bad name. By the end of my experience @ Paris, I was more than happy to bestow a large tip upon the lovely folks there to show appreciation for their professionalism, kindnes and expert work. If you're thinking about stopping at Dana's, run right by and take your tired feet to Paris Nails instead. more

The Worst Customer Service......EVER! 9/25/2007

I'm all about fast service, but this place was awful. The worst personal treatment I have ever received. Bitchy staff (that included the male employee who ripped off my flip flops while I was sitting under the dryer-without saying excuse me, making eye contact or even asking). The entire experience was poor; the pedicure was not that great. I have been to many other salons where the cleaning and preparation of the feet and nails is the most important part of the pedicure. She basically removed my old polish, did some light filing and slapped some lotion on my leg. Totally crappy and not worth $25. That part aside, I cannot stress enough how bad the service was. They were rude, pushy and all seemed in a rush to get somewhere at 1:00 on a Monday afternoon. I will never go back there and will not recommend this salon to anyone. In fact, I will tell them how terrible it is instead. There are so many other, better salons in the area. Do not go to this one. more

Dana's 7/31/2006

Dana's Nail Salon is a great affordable place to get a mani and pedi. It is so affordable and next door to Starbucks! What more could you ask for. The best part is, you get your own personal scrub brushes and clippers so you don't have to worry about sanitary issues. Everyone there is so fast and meticulous that you are in and out of there in no time. They are the best local place to get a mani and pedi. Not to mention they do waxing and massages! more
