This is really about the Franklin location, but I imagine the review should suffice for the Nashville location as well (at least in regards to food and beer).
This place has some of the best, reasonably-priced bar food I've had in a LONG time. The Reuben is delish, as are the chicken tenders, and the deep-fried cheese and sausage satays. I've yet to have bad food there.
My only caveat is that the beer menu is typical at best. They have all the generic crap you can get at any bar (Guiness, Harp, Smithwicks), but nothing really great from the Island. There are so many beers that are much better than what they serve. I'd kill to get some Old Speckled Hen on tap (or even in a can) to go with my meal. Technically not Irish, but there are other beers on the menu that aren't Irish either.
I think if they expanded the foreign beer selection, I'd be there with greater frequency. As it is, I usually go to Boscos, just for the beer. But sometimes you really want a greasy Reuben and a great beer. Dan McGuiness only gives you the first half of that equation.
That, and (at least in Franklin) it's 21 plus only, So, the place is always saturated with smoke. It puts a dent on the enjoyment of any meal.
Pros: Great food, cool atmosphere
Cons: Lackluster beer selection, way too smokey
