It all started in Grafton Ma. in 1962. Like so many pioneers in their respected fields, Dorothy Dalton is self taught, learning from experience and the love of animals. Unknowingly Dorothy began her career by grooming her own miniature poodle. Soon she was grooming her friends and neighbors pets. The response was so overwhelming the Daltons converted their garage into a full service grooming facility. As the years progressed so did business. Mrs. Dalton now divides her time between Shrewsbury and Florida. When in Shrewsbury, she along with her highly trained dedicated staff, is a hands-on owner operating the longest established and finest grooming and boarding facility for cats and dogs in the metro west area. As a successful breeder of multiple miniature and standard poodle champions; Mrs. Dalton is a highly respected International Dog Show Judge for the American Kennel Club, judging the Toy, Non-Sporting Groups and Best in Show brings to her clients a lifetime of experience with a wealth of knowledge in the understanding of the love and needs of all the pets in her care. Mrs. Dalton and her staff are dedicated professionals assuring compassionate professional care for all animals and also to provide education to all responsible pet owners who wish to seek it. The cycle has come full circle at Daltons Cherrywood Kennel. We are now caring for many second and third generation clients who have followed their parent’s footsteps and come with their children to seek the very same high level of care and service for their beloved pets..
