Yes the office is super clean. Minimal wait time. Staff is friendly although it's true Evonne can be moody. My concern is that after going here for many years it seems as if th...

The BEST Vet!! 3/15/2010

Dr. Toth and his staff are absolutely awesome! I'm really having a difficult time believing the negative reviews. I have never had a bad experience and my animals love to go to the Vet. I have a 12 year old lab with some health problems and the entire staff is always extremely friendly and compasionate. They all know my dog's name and take the time to stop, love on her and ask how she is doing. After taking her to the emergency vet one evening, Dr. Toth took the time to call me the next next day asking how she was and to make sure I knew what to expect with her recovery. They are GREAT and I will always take my animals there!!! more

Do some research 11/23/2009

I went to this hospital for several years and dealt with Dr Toth and his staff. Initially, Dr Toth seemed like to possess the compassion needed in his field. Rather early in utilizing his services, It was apparent that he is much more of a salesman who suggested unneeded diagnostic tests rather than a Doctor. I would suggest that prior to seeing him, do some research on your pets ailment. He is far less pushy when the customer knows symptoms and treatment options. I learned the hard and expensive way. Cons: price, organization and quality more

Dallas Highway Animal Hospital is the worst! 10/31/2009

Dr. Toth and Dr. Chase are all about the money!!! We had a horrible experience with this vet and his practice. My beautiful dog died because of the incompetence of Dr. Toth and Dr. Chase. They shouldn't be vets. I would never recommend this practice. If your pet is sick, don't take him/her to this practice. They will take your money and your pet will not be getting the proper treatment. more

How is it Possible? 10/23/2009

how can people write bad reviews about this place!!! the people there are kind and considerate. the facilities are pristine!! there is absolutely nothing wrong with this clinic. more

Two Vets on Dallas Hwy 8/31/2009

I was surprised to read negative reviews about a vet we use regularly. I was even more shocked to read complaints about cleanliness or staff, because it didn't seem possible. There are two vet offices on Dallas Hwy, less than 2 miles apart. I suspect some reviews are written under the wrong clinic/hospital name. This Vet office is clean and well organized. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. more

what the neg. comments say are true 8/5/2009

I took our Malamute to the vet because while i was pregnant he was becoming very aggressive. The vet insisted it was because he was not neutered. He promised that it would get better once we had him fixed, which disappointed us greatly because we had planned on breeding him. So, we went ahead and got him fixed, only for him to continue the aggressiveness and for the bill to end up TWICE what we were told it would be before hand. When we brought him back, the Dr. again insisted it was a discipline problem and insisted we try his recommended obedience school. I was tired of the games being played, and we went to another vet. As far as location, this vet has it all but when it comes to service, the negative comments are absolutely correct. The older lady IS rude, the prices are ALWAYS wrong once you're ready to pay, and the services they push on you are rediculous.... Our Malamute is perfectly fine now by the way, he was aparently jealous of the attention we were paying to our new baby since he was always our baby... so, we just started paying more attention to him, and giving MONITORED baby dates for him and the baby to get used to each other. Now? he LOVES her and actually protects her from everyone!! Pros: beautiful location Cons: always misquote prices more

rude staff 3/27/2009

first off there was a puddles of urine on the floor near the door and then i was quoted a different price than i had to pay at checkout, it was more, staff was rude, not loving towards my pet, took my dog to the back and was not told why until later, after several things were done that i had not asked for, then treated badly when i questioned the cost. I would not recommend, or at least get a written estimate before anything is done. Cons: expensive, rude, uncaring more

awful/ridiculously expensive 3/27/2009

I was told one price over the phone for a yearly, then after the visit when i went to pay it was almost twice as much. When i questioned this, a VERY rude older lady said that I could'nt have possibly been told that price, treating me like a liar. I paid the bill but will never go back. i felt lied to and the service i recieved was quite awful Cons: rude, expensive, more

Not Real Impressed 12/5/2008

Had a new puppy and he was sick. We had him less than 24 hours and wanted to see why he was so sick. But, when I called they said the "earliest" they could see him was the following Monday -- so, I found another vet who was able to see him immediately and get him the medication he needed. Would I recommend? Nope. more

Professionalism, The best of care, very engaged in your pets health! 8/28/2008

We have been clients of Dr.Toth since he opened his practice there. We were very loyal customers of Paces Ferry Vet in the Vinings.\r \r We interviewed Dr Toth and the staff prior to bringing our pets. He and his staff are so genuinely involved and engaged with our pets' heath; we aren't just another "number". They have gone to extreme lengths to help us provide the best care for our pets and they simply will not cut corners or do anything that would compromise pets health, which I can only imagine was the case with the negative post I saw. I can't speak to that scenario - but I know this Vet's office and they do not do things just to charge you extra money. We have had very extreme health cases with some of our dogs - rare disease of a rescue, cancer with another rescue, and they went over and above for us, and provided us with the best network/references when specialists for Chemo, etc. were needed. They call to follow up on our pets health post appointment, and know us by name. If you more

VERY BAD experience here ... 7/25/2007

Took 2 pets in for spay after verifying three times over the costs and procedure. AFTER the vet took the pets AND AFTER the vet sedated them, the office called us at home to demand that we purchase shots, wormers, and other products that we didn't need, as we provided proof that all of that had already been done. Even so, the vet demaned that we buy them from HIM or he would not do the spays. He said that we SHOULD have been told that we had to buy those items from him. We picked up the sedated pets and took them to another nearby vet for the spays. Unprofessional; deceptive; uncaring; not compassionate ... more

Not impressed ... 7/25/2007

We had a very bad experience with this doctor, the assistants, and with the facility in general. They tried to sell me an abundance of tests and products that I didn't need, and insisted that our dogs could not be treated there unless we bought them. We definitely will NOT visit this doctor or facility again ... Pros: nice location Cons: pushes products and services not needed; uncaring; not compassionate more

The BEST Vet Anywhere!!! 3/29/2007

Ohmigosh, Dr. Toth is beyond wonderful. We used several vets in the Atlanta metro area and were disappointed with them all (some were horrible). We found Dr. Toth and have been so unbelievably happy with him and with his practice. The person who wrote the one negative review is lying or just plain wrong/confused. Dr. Toth is so caring, gentle, warm, respectful (to animal and owner), thorough, professional, and honest. His staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Toth never does more than is necessary. His prices are fair and in line with other vets (if not even less). It is so obvious that Dr. Toth just loves animals and deeply cares about them.He does not look at his patients as a way to ""make money."" He is there to care for animals and you can tell that he takes that very seriously, and he does that better than anyone. Everyone that I know that has used his practice raves about him with only positive things to say. We had to have our beloved dog put down at the age of 16 years. The respect and kindness he and his staff showed were beyond words, just beautiful. A week later, we received from Dr. Toth an imprint of our little gal's paw (like the kids make in school when they're little) and a sympathy card that he and all the employees not only signed, but each wrote a little note, as well. Well, we just love him and are so glad that he is here with his practice. Once you take a pet to Dr. Toth, you'll never want to use another vet again. Pros: EVERYTHING -- JUST PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: Absolutely NONE!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Dr. Toth is the GREATEST 2/3/2007

I will not ever entrust my Bulldog to anyone BUT Dr. Toth ever again. He is a superior Veterinarian. To begin with, the office is very clean, and you are never left waiting with 20 other pets in the lobby. The Staff is so friendly and ever so helpful. They've always worked me in for an appt ASAP and with this dog of mine, that's extremely important. I can count on Dr. Toth to always be compassionate and honest. He doesn't try to sell me tests or medicines I don't need. He truly cares about the animals and their owners and I especially appreciate his follow up calls just to check on my dog. I cannot say enough about this office. Owning a Bulldog, you become VERY familiar with vet's offices, and throughout the years, I've never found a Doctor this superb. Pros: prompt attention, clean office, wonderful staff and a compassionate doctor Cons: absolutely none more

Dr. Toth and Dr. Findland are the Best Vets around ! ! ! 9/26/2006

Recently I had an emergency with my Golden. He is 3 years old and could not stand up when I got him up one morning. I hesitated to call my regular vet as I have had a few bad experiences with them - one in which I took my other Golden in and I had to wait over an hour with her and once we got in the examining room the doctor told me he was going to take her back to another private area to examine her. I told the doctor that was fine and I needed to get something out of my car. The doctor then asked me to wait in the lobby when I came back in. I asked him if he was going to come out and explain the situation to me and he said he would - he never did. He sent an assistant out to tell me that they could not find anything wrong with my doggie and I could give her some medicine ""just in case"" she had a parasite. The doctor never came out to talk to me and I paid my $300 bill. This is just 1 example. Pros: Dr. Findland is excellent ! Immaculate Office and Extremely Helpful Staff! Cons: None more

Best Veterinary Hospital Around! 7/10/2006

I could not recommend Dallas Highway Animal Hospital or Dr. Toth highly enough. If your pet is just a dog or just a cat you may want to look for an inexpensive clinic that PRACTICE veterinary medicine. If your pet is a family member, Dallas Highway is the place to bring them. Unlike the others who are merely practicing, Dr. Toth has never ceased to amaze me with his knowledge. Dr. Toth not only has a broad knowledge of veterinary medicine, but it is clear that he stays up to date with new medications, techniques and treatments available to help your pet. The facilities are always emmaculate and the staff is caring and accommodating. Pros: Clean Facility and Knowledgeable Doctor more

Watch out for the extra charges 6/4/2006

I visited this clinic several times and started to notice the cost of items. I inquired about buyingmy pets heartworm preventative over the internet and was told that they would match the price of any heartworm preventative or stuff for flea control. My question was of course, if you can match the price with my asking about it how come you don't sell it for that price to begin with. I also was quoted the price of annual shots for my dog and then when I arrived the extra charges began. $160.00 for bloodwork, $30 .00 for preventtive deworming despite the fact that they checked for worms as part of the visit. I would use caution when going there to watch out for unnessary services. I actually do not go here anymore for this reason. more

Dr Toth is the BEST 4/4/2006

We have been using him since he opened. We do some rescue and lost one dog after trying everything under the sun to save her (she was found to have a very rare condition only found in the SW). Dr. Toth was with us every step of the way and even made a donation in the name of our lost dog to Auburn (who tried to help us save the dog) after her passing. You tell me what other doctor would do something so generous and kind. We have rec him to dozens for friends, neighbors and such. He rocks and is the best. I saw that last poor rec. on here and it pissing me off b/c he probably tried everything to help them and they just didn't want to pay it. Pros: Honest, Knowledge, Compassion more

Horrible Experience 11/16/2005

Horrible experience for us; quoted prices before our arrival but then changed them upon our arrival at the clinic; high pressure while were were there to sell us services we didn't need or want by telling us they would not perform see our animals unless we bought from their clinic -- like duplicate medications and worm treatments that we had just purchased at another clinic; didn't treat our pets with as much care as we would have liked Cons: high pressure sales, pets well treated, disrespectful more

He is great! 6/6/2005

We have lived in Atlanta now for about 3 years and have had our animals at 3 different vets and I will never leave Dr. Toth. We are about to move out of the area to a new house in Atlanta but quite far from his office but I will make the drive because he is such a wonderful vet. He always calls to check up on our animals and is very pleasant to work with. more
