Dadu Bridal

When I went there I already had my bridal gown so I was just shopping for bridesmaid dresses. I didn't have all of my girls with me and this is where the problem started. I had a good guess at what sizes but wasn't for sure. I told the main person that I would try to call to give measurements but he only gave me two days and we had to put down 100 deposit just to even reserve the dress. I went back to the store a few weeks later and the person had just ordered a bunch of different sizes of the dresses instead of waiting for measurements. And then proceeded to ask when the dresses were going to be paid for again and again even though not all of the girls had been in to try the dresses. I told them I didn't know when they would be paid because I wasn't paying for which they ""suggested"" I should just pay and the girls could just pay me back. I told them I would get back to them about that. The girls decided that they wanted to wait until closer to the wedding to try on the dresses so they didn't have to pay for a whole bunch of alterations. When I called to tell him that we were going to wait a few months to even finish trying on the dresses and that they weren't going to pay for dresses they hadn't even tried on, and I had to be blunt because it seemed to be the only way to get through to them, the person said okay and hung up on me. The ladies there are very nice and helpful, but once it's time to get the dresses and go, that is what you better be ready to do or plan to get bugged every week and treated very rudely. more

I have not had a good experience here. Reading the reviews makes me wonder how much money and patience the other reviewers have. I don't consider a dress from 700 on up to be a good price, nor do I appreciate the fact that the dress that we ordered came in a size smaller than was ordered. The alterations will be done free of charge, but there has already been damage done on the back corset trying to lace it up (it's too small) missing jewels and a jacket that is way too small. I was not even offered the option of sending the small size back and reordering the correct size. We shall see how good they are at alterations. The dress didn't look like it was new either, like it had been hanging around for awhile. Like I said we are not finished and we shall see, but, for future reference this is a NO refund policy store and even though they made the mistake in size It was not offered to order the correct size... I'm hoping the dress won't fall apart during prom because it's too small. more

We bought two dresses for daughters proms. They had a great sale going on in February. Most dresses were half off. There was a little problem with the seamstress understanding the alterations, but eventually everything worked out fine. The man behind the desk was nice and appriciative. They had alot of choices, prices were better than what I expected. Staff was very helpful. We had a very good experience with Dadu. more

So everyone in Boise knows that this THE PROM AND WEDDING shop to go to! Well I got my dress here and it was perfect! Alterations went well and there prices were the lowest around town. (believe me I went to every shop..lol) Well I just wanted to say thank you. more

I was a bride at DaDu Bridal and I received the best treatment a bride could ask for!!!! They took my measurements before ordering my gown, and it fit wonderful when it arrived. I needed some alterations and was worried but the staff was very understanding and brought out this amazing alterations manager and she helped me so much!!! On my wedding day I was in my dream dress and it fit perfectly!!! Kudos to an amazing staff and alterations department!!! more

I visited every shop in Boise and way beyond and ended up getting my dress in Dadu Bridal. I had heard some negative reviews but went with an open mind and was so so pleased with the service I received. I think I must have been served by every member in the shop at one point, not cause I'm an akward customer but because i kept asking what people thought and just got them all involved. Everyone was so patient, helpful and truthful which was brilliant. I finally chose a Maggie Soterro dress which was ordered there and then, it came in on time, the dress fittings went well, the dress was ready for my pick up date. I had no problem whatsoever. VERY GOOD , SOLVED MY MAJOR PROBLEM . I ORDERED DRESS ON LINE AND THEY SENT ME RUBBISH AND THEY DONT ACCEPT RETURN AS THAT WAS SHIPPED FROM CHINA . They have a huge collection of dresses. I ordered my dress and got it in a week. While other stores I went to said they can not get it until 5 weeks. Dadu offered me the lowest price and plus there in store alterations were very reasonable. I have read some of dadus reviews and most of the bad ones are written by competition.. Anyways, they have the lowest prices and best service. Definitely a place to check out!! more

Very helpful I went into this store last night and was pleasantly surprised. I'd been to DaDu in the past and was dreading having to go there again. However, this store is different. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful. They spent a lot of time finding exactly what I needed. I'm very happy I gave DaDu's another chance! This store is different. My service at Dadu Bridal was atrocious to say the least. Aside from our helpers hardly speaking English, we were asked to just look around and pick dresses ourselves. Umm... and start where, exactly? Dresses were packed into a roped-off room like sardines in a can and we were given no direction and not offered any help. When asked if I could try on a dress in the window, the owner asked ""if I really loved that dress, because it would be hard for him to get off the mannequin"". The space was too small to house their inventory and the prices were too high for the quality of product they had to offer. more

My best friend got married in September 08 and ordered her dress and five bridesmaid dresses from Dadu. When the BM dresses came in, none of them fit -- they were all at least a size too small. Mine was two sizes too small! It took multiple tries for them to alter them correctly, and in my case, they never got it right. They lost my dress the day before the wedding, so we were scrambling to figure out a replacement. Thankfully, the employees were able to alter another dress at the last minute, so I had something to wear the next day.\r \r The owner was rude and never admitted responsibility, the alterations were horrible, the store was crowded. No bride needs this added stress to her wedding. Do NOT shop here. Pros: tons of dresses to choose from Cons: terrible service makes it not worth while more

DADU BRIDAL is terribleat service. the people are not very informative and spend much of their time on the computer without assisstance. i was looking ata dress and the older man has asked me the samequestions, i thoughtitto be a terrible store. more

I had a good experience with this shop. I was shopping for a pair of RED dress shoes for my sons wedding and the guy was friendly this day. Shoes were average price. I tried them on and liked them. He gave me a deal that day. I've never stepped foot in the store before and walked out satisfied. In am not intrested in the dresses so thanks for the heads up. more

My best friend is getting married in June, she has seen a dress in Dadu Bridal that she really liked. We walked into Dadu's the ""owner"" a older man, was extremely rude to both of us. First he said ""Set drink on counter!"" ""Now I can help you."" I can understand leaving your food and drink on the counter to keep the dresses from getting dirty. But when asked rudly....No thank you! \r \r Then he had the nerve to ask my friend if she could afford the dress, then told us to come back tomorrow because the women that does that isn't here! My friend said no thank you I am never coming back, and walked away. Do not give this man busniess! I have also talked with my other friends they have experienced the same thing as well. For example they where looking at shoes the owner kept saying are you going to buy something?? This man is extremely rude and nosy. Please DO NOT go to Dadu! They will be very rude and pushy! Pros: THUMPS DOWN!!! Cons: THUMPS DOWN!!! more

As a former employee of this store, I signed up on Citysearch specifically to warn you about this store. Do not, I repeat, do not buy your gown here. Especially a bridal gown. If you buy a prom dress here from what they have in, that's fine but do NOT use their seamstress. Yes, she may be cheap but you will be very disappointed with the poor work. As for the bridal gowns, I won't go into detail about the misleading, sneaky ways they get their gowns but let me assure you, you are not buying an authentic designer gown. Please do not buy from this store. You will be disappointed. more
