The best dog in the world! 4/2/2018

Ajax came to us in 2014. He is healthy, loving and smart. He is beautifully colored. He is adored by all. I am so thankful for finding D'Tressors kennels. Wonderful healthy Merle cockapoos. Thank you so much for this amazing member of our family. more

High points for great puppies 9/15/2017

What a Dog! 1/28/2017

I got my first dog, a cockapoo, in 2010. She is my husbands 5th or 6th dog. We agree that she is the most wonderful dog possible. Well socialized, healthy, sweet, smart as a whip, just the best dog. I shopped about 50 pups before I settled on my Elsie. I went out to visit Deb and check out her place to make sure it wasn't a puppy mill and that the dogs were treated well. What I found was someone that is really knowledgeable about breeding. Understands how to develop their brains for socialization and is mindful of how often and how long the dogs are bred. I was really happy with what I saw. She also had the absolutely cutest pups ever! The only thing I disagreed with was that she emphasized that they are dogs, not people. I personally think you have to think that way as a breeder. How else could you ever send off one of your delicious pups to someone else's house? She clearly cared for the dogs. I have referred her several times and keep track of the liters because I want more. But for now I will just love the one we have to pieces! more

Wonderful Cockapoo breeder 4/8/2014

We purchased our chocolate cockapoo Cooper (mother cockapoo and father poodle) from D'Tresors Kennels and Deb Mitchell in Sept 2011 after the litter had been born in July 2011. We had been on a waiting list for a while for a chocolate cockapoo and she was good enough to send lots of pics after the litter was born since we were travelling 4 1/2 hrs to pick up our puppy we wouldn't be seeing him until 8 wks. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to puppy care before we got him, and then afterwards when we brought him home she continued to keep in touch with regards to how he was doing, behaviours, answered questions etc. Our dog Cooper is a wonderful dog, who has a ton of personality, very friendly, great hiker, loving and very playful. I would recommend Deb as a breeder to anyone looking for a well mannered, playful and healthy puppy. more

well bred dodgs 8/13/2011

Good: We have had our puppy (Poochy) for more then a year. He is smart, sensitive, well mannered and good confirmation is the short list. We think that his early rearing and attention by Breeder has created a wonderful pet that has No irritating habits. We have always or almost always had "pound or rescue" dogs and now in the twilight of our lives we needed a stable pet and companion which is just what we have in Poochy.. Other: this is rural and one women operation. more

WONDERFUL BREEDER 8/2/2011

Good: Deb (the breeder) is very knowledgable about her pups, and cares alot about them. If you are from out of town, it is a very nice drive. I would have to say my day was perfect. Going to the beach, eating seafood, and the best part is going to pick up my puppy. You can tell that Deb loves seeing your face when you see your puppy for the first time, and she is really excited to teach you about your puppy and to give you alot of helpful hints that will help the puppy turn into a great one. GREAT BREEDER!. Bad: Nothing. Improvements: It could be helpful for people to see an updated website with current pictures of her pups.. Other: The price is a very good price for the things that you get. First you get a healthy puppy, you get vet updates to show which shots your puppy has had and when their next ones are due. Also the lifetime warranty is always a really nice thing to have and alot of breeders don't offer it, I'm glad that I found such a great breeder. I recomend this breeder to everyone.. more

My Take on an Acceptable Breeder 3/26/2010

Good: I saw that the breeder (Deb) is exceptionally knowledgeable and diligent about her dogs. She has adequate space for them and keeps the puppies in a safe, warm and clean environment.. Bad: She does keep her adult dogs in kennels (3 per kennel space) with only a small amount of room to run around and they could not avoid walking in their excrement. In her defense I think she tries to stay on top of it, as I observed her clean them out twice in the half hour we were there to pick up our puppy.. Other: Our puppy is so well socialized, loving sweet and healthy! I couldn't ask for a better little guy :) Her Health guarantee is unbeatable and we are impressed by her professionalism and availability to just talk if we have any questions.. more

Great Breeder/Great Kennel 3/11/2010

My dog is a couple of years old now. I couldn't be more pleased with my dog or the kennel I got him from. The owner has always answered my questions and backed up everything she said she would. On my first "puppy visit" to my vet, he said I had a really healthy pup and the records were as good as he ever sees. She followed up to make sure everything was okay and encouraged me to keep in touch. I've stopped by several times over the years and always find her happy to see me and my dog. And she continues to run a top notch kennel with improvements every time I come. I'd recommend her to any of my family or friends. more

Cutes little Cockapoos 9/1/2009

My boyfriend and I went to visit and pick out a cockapoo for my birthday, the puppies were in good condition and so were the surroundings. The breeder is very knowledgeable and caring, you can tell by the way the puppies, play, their health, and the way they welcome you. I would recommend this breeder to anyone who wants an adorable, loveable, well behaved puppy! more

My two little Jewels 7/25/2009

I found my first cockapoo at D'Tresors Kennels. I was so impressed with the breeder, her credentials, and her love for her dogs and puppies that I went back a year later and got another cockapoo. I feel very fortunate to have found this kennel. The breeder is very knowledgeable and spends a lot of one on one time with each puppy. I am constantly getting compliments on both my dogs on how happy, loving and social they are with people and other dogs. I am always asked where I got my two little jewels. Thank you D'Tresors for being a responsible breeder and for my two loving pooches. Thanks again and keep sharing the joy. I highly recommend D'Tresors Kennels. more

Dedicated kennel owner 7/21/2009

Professional business owner, caring and considerate of dogs and pups, knowledgeable, keeps contacts with all new homes and pet owners, follows up on questions, helps in placement of adult dogs, fair and maintains friendship with many families who now have her dogs in their homes. She has a well planned website with much information, and helpful advice for cocker spaniel owners. Her dogs and pups are socialized and exercised, daily. We have visited her kennel several times and enjoy the companionship of one of her dogs as part of our family. more

Wonderful Dogs 7/17/2009

The dogs at D'Tresors Kennels are treated as loved family members. The animals we're encountered are well adjusted and very loving. I'd recommend a visit to the kennel. Barbara C. more

Horrible Puppy Mill 4/29/2009

Please do not purchase an animal from this person. The whole place is filthy, with urine running out of the garage. You can smell it outside! The male dogs are housed in a barn type structure. There are 5 wire kennels in the yard, with 5 to 9 dogs crammed into each one. There is a small enclosure in each kennel, but not enough room for all of them, so they fight and cry. Several dogs are cowering and fearful. Their nails are so long they are curling under their pads. Their fur is matted and filthy. There were many litters of varying ages - a true puppy mill. This place needs to be investigated. more

Outside runs are 5x15', covered and only contain 2,3 or 4 dogs. Dog houses are high-end igloos and are sized to hold all of the dogs in the run. April is COLD here. Dogs were left with winter coats until weather warmed up. Cowering? Crying? Fighting? NOT! I have one dog afraid of strangers and another trained to sit in the back quietly. The rest clamor for attention at gates. Liquids running out of garage? Garage is cement floored, dogs feel it's okay to go on cement. It's cleaned regularly. It's also a place I can heat for my smaller framed dogs when the temps get lower. Otherwise they're out in the back yard enjoying the sun and the freedom. It's one thing to bring attention to something you think should be fixed. It's something totally different when you lie. It's called slander.

Ensures care of puppies 10/23/2008

Good: life time consultation of care of pup. contract to ensure the pup is returned to her if buyer changes mind. DO NOT GIVE UP PUP TO SHELTER. vaccination records up to date, informs what else pup needs. more

puppy mill 10/20/2008

we were appalled at the number of litters (4 if not 5 litters) adult dogs in kennels with muzzles the smell was atrocious and cleanliness did not seem a priority. did not feel comfortable buying a puppy from this woman as it would only encourage her further in this pursuit.. more

Great breeder, trustworthy 10/4/2008

Bought my first puppy cockapoo there, and we did a local pick up. The breeder is very friendly, explains very thoroughly and walks the buyer through the steps of taking care of the pups. This is no puppy mill. She has good selections but takes great care of each. If you are looking for a cocker or cockapoo, check them out. more
