DOV Hair & Wigs

I wear a hair piece made by Dov and couldn't be happier. (Well, I guess I'd be happier if I didn't need to wear one at all!) When I first heard about him, he was recommended as one of the city's best colorists, not as a wig maker. Then I read an article about him in the NY Times that talked about his hair pieces. ""Not your grandmother's look"" I think it said. I remember being so nervous about making an appointment because I was intimidated by all I'd read and heard about him working with celebrities and models and I thought I would feel out of place. That seems so silly now that I know him. He's truly a genius with hair -- ""bio"" or wig -- and one of the nicest, ""soulful,"" almost spiritual people I've ever known. He's changed my life, both with his generosity of spirit and genuine talent for working with hair. I highly recommend him! Pros: Soft, beautiful, fashionable, hair pieces. I was very impressed by DOV SALON. The customer service, from the minute I walked into the salon till the time I left, was great. I am very happy with the wig I purchased from Dov, and Dov's patience and commitment to creating a pleasant experience and connection with his customers is remarkable. Without too many dramatic adjectives, I wholeheartedly recommend Dov Salon. Dov is a magician with hairstyle. I, for one, can't wait until my next appointment. I hear he does miracles with wigs and hair extensions. The place is so relaxing, welcoming and soothing, I salute Dov and his staff for preserving this rare establishment. Go for it! more

Ok ladies...this latin lover is like something out of a fairytale (Joseph, you are the best). You sit in his chair and tell him what you want - he gives great feedback - and then the transformation begins. His hands and his tools are his magic wand. Joseph has been styling my friend's hair for at least 8 years, and when my stylist decided to move to L.A. I thought I was doomed. Well, I was wrong! Don't get me wrong, my old stylist was great (I was with him for 5 years) but Joseph was unbelievable the first time I went to him, and I've been back to see him twice since. I really love what he does with my hair. There is no way I will let anyone else cut & color my hair now that Joseph has taken over. And Dov Salon is very schick. I've been going to DOV Salon for about 4 years now - there is nobody who has hands more talented than Dov. And his assistant is a gem - so friendly. I'm always amazed at how incredible I look and feel after leaving the salon. But the real surprize came when I took my mother for a consultation to look at Dov's custom made hair pieces. My mother bought a wig that looks and feels so natural she says she no longer feels insecure about her thinning hair. As my mother was being fitted for her wig I decided to try on a few of Do'v falls. WOW! Everyone knows you can never get your hair to look exactly like your stylist does it (if he or she is good), well Dov's fall can take care of that. I love my hair, but when I put on the fall I had to get it. I've always gotten compliments on my hair thanks to Dov, and I still get just as many compliments, if not more, when I'm wearing the fall. The best is when I tell people that I'm wearing one of Dov's hair pieces they can't believe it - it really looks natural! I LOVE IT!
