Dov Wigs 8/5/2010

I visited Dov Salon on my last trip to New York , July 30, 2010 and purchased one of Dov's famous hair pieces. I was so pleased. Not only did he match my color so perfect, but the cut and tecture of the piece is perfect. Everyone should own one. Everyone thought I looked at least 10 years younger with my new piece. Everywhere I went, my friends said I love your hair like that, no one knew I was wearing a piece. more

Breast Cancer Patients' answer to prayers 8/1/2010

Losing one's hair during chemo is a traumatic experience. Dov carefully measures the shape of your head and fits the most beautiful handmade wigs made of natural hair. It gave me back confidence and yet he humbly says it comes from within. I have had chemo for many years and have gone to Dov many times. He is the best and was the answer to my prayer! I have bought a new full wig from Dov and had him fix a pre-existing wig. The work was pure genius. He is truly an artist and creates some of the most perfect and comfortable wigs I have ever worn. I know there are already a lot of positives on this board but I am moved to write my own--and I don't usually do this sort of thing. Dov was really a light in a long dark tunnel for me--after years of agonizing hair loss and inept and unsympathetic wig makers, Dov gave me hope again--not to mention a gorgeous piece that looks just like my own hair used to before it started falling out. His salon is welcoming and intimate and private--he is a love. And he's the first stylist I've met that really gets it. His clients are women with hair loss -- and watching them go in and out--you'd never know. His intuition and sense of style are miles above any of the other like-services out there. His location is convenient and he promises satisfaction--and actually delivers. I'd read about him on websites and listservs long before I actually went and now I regret waiting. Dov is fantastic at taking the most current looks from the runway and translating to a wearable and fresh look that is customized to your lifestyle. I have worked as a fashion photographer in NYC, always searching for that comfortable place where I could get beautiful blonde color and an updated look. From North Carolina to New York 4/23/2010

I came to Dov's because of my alopecia. I have been battling it for 25 years and realized that the time had come to replace my ash blonde synthetic topper. Prior to coming to see Dov, my local stylist had given me a hair color that I felt was more age appropriate and more flattering. Within minutes of sitting in the chair at Dov's, he had found an exact color match and in a length (medium) that, with some trimming and styling, was exactly what I was looking for. I looked younger and more chic than I had in years. Even more importantly, I could not stop smiling and had a confidence that the alopecia had been slowly eroding. The next day before I left for the airport, I went back for some more tweaking and shaping. Dov has an unerring eye for what is right for each client and that is just what I needed. I decided to change the style and color of my current hairpiece and after extensive searching, God sent me to Dov. As soon as I walked into his salon, the atmosphere and ambience convinced me I was in the right place. Dov has tons of experience, gives you his personal attention and his staff follows his mantra that EVERYONE is a celebrity and is treated as such. He designed and created for me the most incredible hairpiece as well as cut two that had been ordered previously from someone else and styled those as well. I have dealt with fine, thiniing hair for most of my adult life, but never considered a hair piece. A few months ago while watching the news, there was a story about a woman going through chemotherapy and the amazing person who fitted her with a wig. I wrote down the salon name and forgot about it.Just before the new year I found Dov's telephone number and called for an appointment. Dov is charming, kind, sensitive and professional. My hair piece is gorgeous. No one knows that I'm wearing a hair piece. I look 10 years younger and walk with my head high. I can say unequivocally that this was the best decision I have made since marrying my husband 36 years ago! I will be a client for the rest of my life. more

Hair is important 2/26/2010

For the last three years, I have been experiencing thinning and breaking hair. I have tried multiple vitamin treatments, salon treatments, specially designed shampoos, etc. Nothing helped. Then I decided to go see Dov. He assessed my hair issues and fit me with a hair piece that gave me back my confidence. He highlighted my hair and the piece to match - the color match was perfection. I am finally leaving the house again and going out to dinner without wearing a hat. Dov helped regain my self esteem and I plan to be a client of his for life. If any women is having thinning hair issues, go to Dov. He will talk you through what is right for you and transform your life. My Best Wish 2/7/2010

Back in November, I learned that I would be losing my hair due to chemotherapy treatments for lymphoma. Being a mother or two and a woman in my 30's, this was way too much for me to absorb. I first saw Dov on the Today Show and knew he was the man I needed to find. Upon my first visit to his salon, he transformed my acceptance of losing my hair. He found me a perfect wig (better than my own hair) and emphasized that no matter what, I needed to be myself. This was the best advice I have gotten and the one that has stuck for me. Since I began wearing my wig, I get compliments on how great my hair looks and how I should never cut it. I feel like a brazilian beauty!!! Thank you Dov for letting me find you! No one will ever know the difference 12/9/2009

I went to Dov for a wig a few months ago, having been diagnosed with cancer. As a woman in my late 20s, I needed to find a wig that was going to keep my secret (and still make me look good) in public. Dov immediately put me at ease with his compassionate attitude and professionalism. He worked with me to find a color and style that would suit my face and mimick my natural hair. The wig looks so natural, even people who know my diagnosis think I haven't lost my hair yet. I think it looks better than my natural hair! I would recommend Dov to anyone (men and women) who are experiencing hair loss for any reason if they are looking for an expert in wigs and hair pieces with a heaping side of understanding and compassion. Most realistic hairpiece ever! 10/18/2009

Dov is not only a talented and skilled hairdresser and wigmaker, he's the most honest person. He will never sell you something that you don't need or doesn't meet your or his expectations. Suffering from thinning hair for five years I find his hairpieces life altering. He knows how to give a woman back her self- confidence and self esteem.
