I am a huge fan of Dr. Schreiber. I have been seeing him since I moved to NYC, about 3 years ago. When he is taking a look at my mouth to diagnose a problem, I can tell he is taking his time, really trying to figure out what is going on. I had some cosmetic work done by him, and he was an absolute perfectionist; he sent back one crown 3 or 4 times before we agreed it was right. \r

Of course, he does run a business, and like any other business he tries to increase his revenue. So he will try to sell a lot of elective stuff - Inivisalign, whitening, etc. As I mentioned I bought cosmetic crowns, which cost a pretty penny. But I really think they were worth it. \r

His staff that handles the financial/insurance stuff is very proffesional. Usually there is a lot of turnover in this area, but he has had the same people forever. They know all of the twists and turns when it comes to insurance companies.\r

Make sure you get him and not one of his fellow dentists at the same office. I'm not saying they aren't good, but I do know that they are the dentists the office use if you have the cheaper kind of insurance, i.e. a DMO. You need a PPO to see Dr. Schreiber.
Pros: Incredibly good at what he does
Cons: Would sell you magic dental floss if you'd buy it :)
