Editorial review from Citysearch 11/14/2012

I love this friendly & cozy little mom and pop Italian place. They are known for their thin crust NY style pizza which can be bought by the slice or by the whole pie. For lunch you can get 2 slices of pizza, soup or salad and a drink. My favorite thing about D'Amore's is that they offer gluten free pizza!!! It's so awesome for those of you with dietary restrictions! I usually get half pepperoni and half vegetable. The vegetable half is so loaded that I feel like I am eating a salad. Their menu also offers pastas, sub sandwiches, salads and appetizers such as wings, chicken strips and meatballs.\r \r more

They keep losing my order -- !! 3/16/2008

I've eaten there a half-dozen times. The food is fine.. the pizza is indeed less heavy but has a good taste. So you don't suffer from cheese coma or have to drink 10 glasses of water from all the salt.\r \r I'm writing the review because out of the few times I've been there, they've lost my order twice. After waiting for 45 minutes in the restaurant, I have to bring them my receipt and ask for my pizza. The first time they had forgotten to cook it, the second (and last time) they had put it in a to-go box (despite it being a dine-in order) and let it sit while I waited for an hour. Then they had the nerve to put the cold pizza in a box in front of me with two plates and a drink in a plastic cup, and tell me ""sorry someone put it in a box."" No offer to rewarm it. No ""jeez sorry you waited an hour, here's your money back, please come again"".\r \r I've been to many national chains, and their order taking system is pothead-proof, and they know they have to make good when they screw up. This place won't continue to grow if they treat their customers as disposable. I'm never going back. Pros: Food Cons: Service, Ambience, Price more

Back east? 7/11/2006

They say the pizza taste like a great Boston pie? No way. They say they import the water from Boston. Is that the Boston Sewer Department? I am from the northeast. This is not good pizza! Save a few bucks and order pizza from a national chain. It is about the same! more

Yummy Delicious! 2/2/2006

We tried D'Amore's last night for the first time. I have to agree with the second review in that, is a little on the pricey side, but then - this is Westlake for goodness sake! But, truly they have REALLY great food! It's a bit tiny, so would imagine that take-out is your best bet at peak times. Parking has always been an issue in this plaza...unfortunately! :( We highly recommend the Ziti with Eggplant, oh my, it is like heaven on a plate. I am picky about eggplant, so I KNOW what I am talking about here. The eggplant was fried, so it had a little crunch, but sliced thin so it was cooked well and very soft and light on the inside. Having had ""spungy"" eggplant, this was a dream! Also, the lasagna and thin crust pizza were equally delicious. Try it! Pros: GREAT FOOD!, Friendly staff., Awesome Eggplant! Cons: Parking issues., Tiny seating area., Could be cheaper. more

BEST PIZZA 1/15/2006

I've been traveling around the world, including Europe, and am missing D'Amore's pizza! The crust is PERFECT, light and crispy, and there is a perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The sauce is also really delicious!!! Most pizzas I've tried are either too dry or too doughy or too hard. D'Amore has managed to create the perfect pizza!!! It's literally a slice of heaven! Pros: Perfect crust, Delicious sauce, Good lunch specials more

Great Pizza - Too Expensive 5/12/2004

They say good things are worth the price, well this may be true for some things, but in reality there are a lot of pizza places out ther with great pie. So when I am choosing my pizza, yeah I will hit D'more's on a special occassion, but they are really expensive!! 15$ for a little dough, sauce and cheese is a bit much. Hey D'more's how about lowering your prices for the common man. I understand that Old world taste comes at a price, but you are pricing yourselves out of the pizza market. Oh they are good though...sigh! Pros: Crust, Taste, Atmosphere Cons: , Price, Price more
