I recently used D & S Appliance for a repair. My end experience with the company was positive. I had a concern with the billing after a visit from a technician. I was met with the utmost willingness to remedy the situation and was promptly rescheduled with the same technician to service the washer again. The serviceman was very pleasant and helpful on the second visit, and I was left with an overall great feeling about the company and its customer service and attention to detail. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... 1/27/2012

If no stars was an option, that is what I would have given D&S. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a service company. They ordered parts without my authorization, and when they arrived and I said I didn't want them (why would I...I could literally by a new range for the price of installing this one part), the owner said that ""Somone's gonna pay for this, and it ain't gonna be me."" So he went ahead and charged me an extra $377 for the part...surprised he didn't tack on the labor that was never done, too. Not to mention, this repair was to fix a burner that D&S had repaired only a few month's back...But they said that the warranty had run on the parts, and we had to pay full price (of course, they told me this only after the technician had come out to diagnose the issue). Moral of this story: STAY AWAY FROM D&S!!!! more

PROMPT AND EXCELLENT SERVICE! 2/8/2011

I called D & S Appliance the other day for service on my dryer. I had a situation at my home with sick children and D&S was able to fit us in that same day. Cust service was great and the tech was very knowledgable. Unfortunately the part had to be ordered but within 2days they came back and finished the repair on my dryer. To me D&S cared about my issue and took care of it promply. Thank you D&S and will recommend your servide to everyone! more

the best service company ever!! 7/7/2010

When I made the appointment for my Whirlpool dryer the office staff answered all my questions and stated the rates up front. Very pleasant and professional When the tech arrived the next day he way neat, clean (no plumbers crack) His attitude made me laugh even though I was upset my dryer was broken he was cheerful and pleasant . He fix my problem in no time charged me what I was told and left me very happy. Pros: Prompt, Courteous, & Professional Cons: cant think of any more

Extremely dissatisfied 12/17/2009

D & S sent out a technician to fix our washing machine who had no idea how to diagnose the problem. Instead, he told us to remove the sensor that is there to detect water leaks (it's been on for a year and has been working fine) and to call him again after we had done so. We paid him $200 for that advice, and then had to pay a plumber to come out, cut a hole in our wall, and re-plumb the laundry room to remove the automatic shut-off valve. When we had D & S come back out, the same technician stll had no idea how to fix it. He ordered the wrong part which took a month to arrive, while my wife went crazy going to the laundromat every day. Frustrated, we called a different company to come look at our washer. The new technician ran a simple diagnostic program, immediately identified the problem, and ordered the correct part which he installed 2 days later. A coin had simply gotten stuck in one of the drainage pumps! Now that it's fixed, I still have to pay a plumber to come back out to reinstall the leak sensor, and I need to have the wall repaired. D & S cost me about $1000 in unnecessary expenses, and now won't stand behind their work. I have gone to the highest level of the company to no avail. Going to court is the next step. I could have just bought a new washer. Cons: Unable to diagnose simple problem / bad customer service more
