D & H Automotive

I moved from Mesa, AZ to Bellingham, WA and while driving through Redding I had some issues with my Tahoe. I called D&H and they drove to my truck to look at it before they had me spend unneeded money to tow it. They wanted me to drive it to the shop to be sure, after looking at my truck they told me there was nothing wrong. I was so impressed with their honosty I asked them to look at my heating problem. They went out of their way to make sure I was ok to continue on my trip. My experience was like taking my truck to a friend not just an automotive shop. I highly recommend if you need anything done this is the place to go. Great work at a great price, and I made it home safe. Thank you guys very much. Charles more

I recently had my car worked on by D&H automotive. They are very honest and respectful! I was very satisfied with the way they do business. I will no longer take my car any where else. Used to be a great place to bring your car. But now they would let your car sit in the sun for days without doing anything, then they won't tell you they can't fix it for some reason, until you call few hours to pick up your car. We were told by them they "messed" up that is why your car is not ready. It happened to us twice.They apparently ic contracted by a big auto repair shop, so if they are getting a lot of business from the big auto repair (SJ Denham) your car will just have to sit in the sun. We gave them a chance,but did this to us twice already..And oh, we suspected they created this problem when we brought our car for just a regular maintenance (but of course it would be hard to prove).We are not going back and we told the friends who referred us to them and they are telling there other friends too, and also the people at work who brings in there car there. We do not want them to suffer like us. more

Trust these guys - they will look after you ! It's impossible to give the team at D&H high enough praise. They are the most honest, hard working mechanics I've ever met. They will not 'sell' you anything you don't need and will help you wherever possible. We saved well over $1,000 ( on some extensive engine work ) by taking their advice, AND they got the work done on time, AND they did a few minor jobs while we were waiting for a very small additional amount. Great people to deal with and absolutely worth driving a few extra miles to get your car serviced/worked on here. A+++. Thanks to everyone at D&H. more

I recently used D&H Automotive and had a really wonderful experience with them. I thought I had a major engine problem and was really concerned about the cost being too much to afford (though I did not voice this to them- just asked for a diagnosis). They diagnosed the problem and fixed it the same morning I dropped it off. They did not try to over charge- in fact they gave me an extremely reasonable price and did not charge for the diagnosis itself. It was obvious that I had no idea what the problem was, and so many people could have taken that and run with it. Not these guys. All in all it was under $200. They have our business for as long as we live in this area- that's for sure. I highly recommend D&H. more

What to say about D&H?...wow, where do I begin? They are such a kind and caring company (all of them) and REALLY care about the customer...and I DO mean really care. They understand financial problems and/or limitations. They care about the customers well-being. Example: My Mom went to D&H and they advised her that it would NOT be worth it to fix the air conditioning, since the car isn't worth it. ALL other mechanics in town would have HAWKED down on my Mom (being a woman and single) and taken TOTAL advantage...but NOT D&H. My Mom told them about the surgeries she's had and when I came in to have some work done, and told him my name, he asked if I was related and asked how my Mom was doing! NO mechanic has EVER been so caring...in my entire life, and I'm 34 years old. D&H is the ONLY mechanic I will go to if I can't fix it myself. They will NOT disappoint you. Not to mention that their work is TOP NOTCH!...unlike the OTHER mechanic shops here in town (and you KNOW who you other more

I highly recommend this place. We ran into some unexpected car trouble and called around, they were the lowest price by over $30 which is alot when you aren't working! They didn't try and tell me I needed to have 4 other things fixed and a minor point, but the bill was $19.67, he only had me pay $19 even. Not a major deal, but proof that they aren't all about the money more
