Cypress Veterinary Hospital

Hello folks. I just brought my dog to this center because it was close to my house. After being there only 30 minutes I found out that a fox tail that was embedded in his paw and that he would need a surgery that would cost almost $500 to remove!! All they did was poke around and say OK pay us $140 and then come back in a few days and will charge you $400 to remove it if that isn't highway robbery I don't know what is. My mothers dog just was spayed and that was a major surgery that cost her only $175...I will NEVER go there again and I will tell anyone who will listen that they are crazy to take their pet there I paid less in the vet emergency room down the street!! more

Cypress veterinary hospital has the best possible care. We have 3 large dogs and i have been going for the last 4 years. Dr. Paula Decosta is the best Doctor my dogs(family members) have ever had. Excellent medical treatment and a warm caring staff. My Son is now bringing his dog for his medical care and my Daughter in law noted Dr. Decosta is very caring.She pulled the dog through life threatening events that had not been resolved with my Son's vet. They are very happy with Cypress and Dr. Decosta. more

I've taken my animals to Cypress Veterinary Hospital for about a decade now. I can't say that every detail of every transaction went perfectly, but that's true of every business on earth. What I can say with confidence is that the staff has gone out of their way to help when my animals needed something, and they have certainly gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping me to treat and re-home strays. I'm not one for over-treating -- basic, adequate, and reasonable care that I would choose for myself is what I want -- and occasionally, I do say no to suggested care. The staff understands and respects my wishes regarding this. They understand that their role is to explain all possible treatments and outcomes, and that mine is to make the decision about what treatments to pursue. more

I Love Cypress Veterinary Hospital!! I have been bringing my babies there for YEARS. They show all my babies show much LOVE. My dog and 2 cats can't wait to see the doctors and staff. They feel right at home with everyone. The nurses in the office work so well with my cat when he needed to have surgery. They always make time to see me, there isn't enough nice things to say. I have a mean and nasty cat. When I took her to Cypress Veterinary Hospital, the doctor and assistants were able to handle and treat her with good care! I definitely recommend this hospital if someone wants their pets treated in a friendly and compassionate environment. more

My dog had a lump on his leg so we took him to this vet since it was the closest to our house. They did a needle biopsy and came back in a few minutes telling me had a very agressive form of cancer and was going to die unless I paid over $2500 for surgery (amputation) and chemo treatments. I took my dog home and thought about it and decided to enjoy him for the time he had left. Well, that was 10 years ago and this dog is running around in the best of health. The lump is still there and it never got any bigger. Other vets have said they abviously misdiagnosed. So that makes me wonder, when they charged me $85 for the biopsy, did they even test the fluid? I will never go back there again. They did the same thing to a friend of mine, so I know it wasn't just a fluke! more
