Peaceful Location...Good Food 10/11/2007

The restaurant is in a peaceful, out-of-the way location with a beautiful view of the river...especially at sunset. The seafood is wonderful and the service is always top of the line. more

Wonderful 4/21/2007

I came here for my anniversary and I was completely blown away by the ambiance. It was a sight for sore eyes. Everything was just perfect. I will have to go back next year. more

This is absolutely one of my favorites!!! This place is perfect if you want a casual business lunch to a upscale romantic dinner. Also, if your planning a party, this is the place to go. The location on the river and the ambiance of the entire place is just awesome. more

Great atmoshere, great prices! 8/21/2006

The Cypress Inn is an incredible value for your hard earned money. The atmosphere is elegantly simple with a view of the Warrior River. This long established restaurant offers a setting which doubles as a place for romance, or a place to just have a great meal. They offer group acodomations, and reservations are always best. Keep your eyes open; you just never know if a past, present, or future sports star is there as well being a short distance from the University of Alabama. You have got to go to this top spot! Pros: Wondeful food, value, and atomshere! Cons: If you don't have a reservation, they have comfortable rocking chairs til you're seated. more

  • The Cypress Inn Restaurant, located on the north bank of the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, Ala., features traditional Southern entrees, desserts, breads, dressings and sauces. Its menu includes smoked chicken, crab claws, catfish, salads, fried chicken, scallops, pasta primavera, trout, pork chops, steak, a variety of wines and pies. The Sandbar, its outdoor riverfront bar features specialty coffees, imported and domestic beer and also serves appetizers and dinner. Cypress Inn has been recognized by the Catfish Institute as one of the top 10 catfish restaurants in the United States..
