Cypress Gardens is one of those places once you visit you wish you had visited sooner. It is about 25 min. from downtown Charleston between Goose Creek and Moncks Corner (but has a Moncks Corner address). You'll turn off of Higway 52 into the country and come up upon this wondeful place. They have alligators to see and a small aquarium exhibit. The most fascinating to us is the Butterfly Atrium. Hundreds, if not thousands of butterflies are in the building and you can walk around and observe them in their habitat. They have amazing trails. It is very inexpensive, too. I highly recommend Cypress Gardens.
