Divided open space into dining room and office. Thrilled! 4/18/2012

I was impressed by Russ' work from step one. Pleased to see a very detailed quote with a breakdown of tasks and supplies for the project and the corresponding costs associated with each. I've built an entire house before and never saw such a detailed breakdown from my contractor. Thrilled with the timeliness and professionalism of Russ and his crew. The job was done quickly, and I was more than please with the craftmanship and overall look of the final project. more

I can't wait to do another project with them. 10/22/2011

I was already almost 7 mths pregnant and on bedrest when I contacted Custom Dwellings to reclaim some attic space above our master bedroom to use as an alternative nursery/sitting room. My first concern was that the project wouldn't be finished in time for the baby's arrival and Russell had it finished just a few days after, it was perfect. Stephanie utilized every inch of space, even turning the shuttered window from the old space into a unique cabinet, and the space under the new stairway became a place for use to stow luggage. Every detail was fine tuned to meet our needs and the molding, windows, outside paint colors and architectural details were matched seamlessly making the space feel like it has be there all along. The finished project exceeded my expectations and that is saying alot since I am a bit of a perfectionist. more

Basement conversion 2/1/2011

Custom Dwellings is a reliable firm that delivers work of high quality on time. A dark, basement was tranformed into a bright, modern family room with blended storage space. We're very pleased. Would use them again. more

Custom Dwellings is fantastic! 1/31/2011

I LOVE Custom Dwellings. They have redone one bathroom for me and helped me fix some issues that I created in another from a self-remodel. While a bit pricey in the current economy, their work is outstanding. I have already recommended them to several people, and at least one that i have recommended them to has used them as well. I will always call them first! more

Custom Dwellings is great to work with. They are so easy to work with. They respond quickly and keep me up to date on the work they are doing for me. So far, I've only had a few small things done around the house, but I'll be sure to call them again whenever I need anything - large or small. more

Our experience was terrific, especially given the length and scope of the project. 1/28/2011

Custom Dwellings was really professional and really honest. They did really high quality work with very fine craftsmanship. We heard about Custom Dwellings from others who used them for work and hired them to build our home. Some builders might have run into trouble with the 3300 sq. ft. project, especially with all its unique architectural features, but Custom Dwellings executed really well. We ran into some things that slowed the project: weather and permits. These are things Custom Dwellings could not control. Outside of these factors, their work was really timely. They had great follow-up, calling to check up on me and the house on occasion after the work was done. more

I think very highly of the work they have done. 1/28/2011

Custom Dwellings has done a few things at my house over the past year and a half. They have done minor work, like putting in a new conduit and dealing with drainage problems, and major work, like roof repairs. They are always quick to respond, to get onsite, and to get the work started. They also have good communication about when they will start, what they will be doing, and when they will be finished. I think very highly of the work Custom Dwellings has done. Their service is very complete. Even if Russell can't do something himself he will recommend someone who can. If we don't want to deal with it, he will even manage it for us. Russell is a great single source for our work, and he is a good resource. more

Can't ask for better service or workmanship! 1/27/2011

Custom Dwellings did a basement remodel for me, as well as some other smaller projects. They did a fabulous job, on time, on budget. Very reasonably priced and came back to address punch list concerns promptly and professionally. I recommend them to everyone I know. more

The Custom Dwellings folks are wonderful. We started out with a nightmare-of-a contractor and Russell Ives at Custom Dwellings was the perfect antidote. He and his folks were reliable, honest, professional, and fine craftsmen as well. We will always be grateful to them for the beautiful house they built. more
