Custom Crafted Upholstery

This company has got to be the worst. I brought in a curtain panel to be cut in half and hemmed on both sides to produce two skinnier panels. Pretty simple I thought. When I got the panels back, they has sewn shut the hole where the pole passes through on the hemmed side. Now how am I suppose to hang these? Not to mention the water stains where it looks like they ironed them. They are silk and not to be ironed! I could have done this myself. I contacted the company, but received no response. $140 later, I have two panels that I can't use. Thanks so much for ruining my $400 panel. more

I was extremely disappointed with the entire process. I had a lovely, but quite worn velveteen covered Hickory Tavern sofa & loveseat from Gabberts. What I received back from Custom Crafted looked nothing like the sofas I had previously. No more styled, tailored and inviting graceful lines. Looked more like a hideous used studio sofa from a garage. I cried. My friends and family laughed. I had wanted a cotton print or microfiber. Ended up being persuaded to go with a solid raised chenille because it would hold up to dogs. Was shown two books of samples and told there was nothing else that would be appropriate. According to sofa and loveseat dimensions it seems that almost double the amount of material was ordered. Sofas sent back to the shop. Cushions had been cut wrong. They recut the back cushions correctly this time, but soft stuffing was replaced with hard foam...total loss of comfort. Redone again. Arm covers also were cut wrong. Then, I gave up. Zippers are wavy and not covered. This once beautiful and loved sofa set could now win the ugliest sofa contest and it only cost me $4000.00. Salespeople are very, very smooth operators, constantly telling me they wouldl do whatever it takes to make me happy, but that what I wanted wasn't possible. I found them quite belittling. A recovered sofa should not look like it has been recovered. Recovering is an investment in maintaining the same style and comfort you have enjoyed for years. Not with this shop. Not possible. more
