Currie Came Through 2/14/2012

I am the father of 3 children. I had purchased 3 electric scooters from a neighbor whose children were grown. 1 of them was not fully functional but I was confident I could repair it. Unfortunately I was not having much luck. One of the working scooters had a phone number on it for Currie Technologies. I called it to see if they could assist. The service rep was very helpful. After some discussion I determined that repair would not be easy. Now I was in a bind. I needed another scooter and Christmas was the following week. I had already searched locally and all retailers were sold out or way over my budget. The service rep did some digging and came up with 2 options that would meet my needs. The price was fantastic. I was so surprised I asked him to repeat it. I ordered it and kept my fingers crossed that it would make it by Christmas. It did! It was well packaged and the small amount of assembly needed was simple. On Christmas morning all the kids were overjoyed. We have been lucky enough to have some good weather and the kids love to ride. I must admit that I have taken a few spins myself. I have had no troubles at all and the battery charge lasts longer than the estimates even after months of use. I know batteries dont last forever so eventually I may need a new one. You can bet I will call Currie to take care of me. more

I've owned two EZip Trailz bikes 2/13/2012

I used my bikes for three years, riding back and forth to work (15 miles each way. I have never had such a fun time in my life. I'm 61 years old, in the best shape of my life, and I credit Currie with that! I've given both bikes to my grandkids, but feel lost without them. I'm looking forward to spring 2012 when I plan to buy another Currie! By the way, I got caught out in several torrential storms and it did NOT affect the bikes whatsoever. Thanks!! I know there are many electric bike outfits but I wouldn't go anywhere else but to you guys! more

Great Scooters! 2/13/2012

Last Christmas, I got 2 eZIP 450's for my kids. It's been almost three months and both scooters are working perfect. They really enjoy riding after school around the neighborhood and weekends too. It is an awesome product! It was a great decision and a great gift for them. more

Cool Ebikes! 2/10/2012

I own an EZIP Trailz, love my ebike! I don't ride a car but this bike at all times. I'm saving some money to buy a second ebike, I'm thinking it will be one of your cool looking IZIP bikes. Love the new line! more

Thoughts on the IZIP Zuma 10/27/2011

The Zuma is the bomb as the saying goes. This bike not only looks good, but performs better then it looks. The electronics are matched perfect with the bike. In the PAS Mode the power to pedal ratio is arranged just right. You pedal and the motor kicks in just enough to make it easy, but not too much to not give you a little workout. It is a breeze and a pleasure to ride this bike. I rode from Orange,CA to Newport Beach,CA in under an hour and a half and returned back home feeling worked, but not whooped. I highly recommend this bike to anyone who is looking to not only save money on commuting, but to anyone who is looking to get outside and enjoy a little exercise and look good doing it. more

My Metro is AMAZING! 10/10/2011

I rented a Zuma, and fell in LOVE with the Metro. I just got my bike this past week and what a difference it has made in my life. I can get anywhere in Los Angeles in a jiffy without being exhausted from a bike ride. It really is the perfect solution in LA! I was so impressed by the quality of the bike I got an eZip 1000 scooter for getting around my beach neighborhood. Incredibly well made, and unlike previous electric and gas powered bikes and scooters that I have had... these are good for a long haul and are truly useful. They don't leave you hanging...get me and everything I need where I need to go. more

Tricruiser--My Freedom Machine! 10/5/2011

Freedom, made possible by a third wheel and battery. I pedal when I can and when I can't, this ride powers my furry friend and I around town. Whether it's a trip to the beach, or the market, having a generous size basket in the back is a great help. I love my trike; even named her Trixie! more

best alternative mode of transport 10/4/2011

I live in Belleville ,NJ and work in a hospital in Newark ,NJ with a distance of around 5 miles , my gas bill usually runs at $60 a month using my v6 pathfinder. With the high price of gas i was thinking of an alternate form of transportation. I thought of a moped , scooter or motorcycle , but I finally decided to buy an electric bicycle for all it's advantages. I somtimes use a regular bicycle to get to work and it takes me around 30 minutes to get there with all the uphills plus getting to work all sweaty. But with my Currie Ecoride it only takes me 15 minutes using twist and go cowquering the uphills without a sweat and coming to work fresh as a daisy. Going home i just ride it a normal bike by using pedal assist. My coworkers were amazed when i showed them my bike and said that's the best investment i've ever made and i also think so. So i highly recommend it more

Great Bike E-zip Trailz (W) 10/3/2011

I've had my bike for a couple of months now and I am very happy. I was so excited when it arrived and couldn't wait to open the box and get started. I only had to put together a few things the seat, pedals and handle bars. It was very easy, no problems there at all. When I got on the road with it and felt the push from the the PAS I was ecstatic, I turned it up to full throttle and away I went, it was wonderful. Two months later still golden. I commute to work about 11 miles (rt) a day. I am finally enjoying my commute, no longer am I exhausted, and sweaty when I get to work. On the way home I may exert myself more just for the thrill of it. I don't know how fast I'm going because I don't have an instrument to tell. It's not that fast because the bike is very heavy but it is faster than I was moving before. I'm hoping to get an Lithium Ion battery when it's time to change just because it's lighter and lasts longer. The other thing I haven't done yet is put Slime in my tires, so far no flats. more

great exercise and good health 10/2/2011

I,m 57 years old and need to exercise for my heart, the ezip electric bike is great! I live near a trail in which pedal to work 6 miles and on the way home when it's to hot for a full work out, I use the pedal as you go feature, thre is less strain and still a little exercise. My blood pressure is down, and i'm loseing weight. And less stress do to traffic.Just what the doctor orders!! more

Currie Ezip bike 10/1/2011

I purchased this bike to take with me when traveling with my camper. It has been a very good experience. I am able to ride this bike in hilly terrain where I would have experienced a lot of difficulty with my older conventional bike. I have had both hips replaced and have no problem riding this bike. The battery seems to work well and have no problem with charging. My only complaint is that the seat is not comfortable and I have changed the original seat to a more combortable one. I would recommend this bike. more

"Zipping" along! 9/30/2011

Wow, am I glad I bought this bike!! I have been telling everyone about it. People come up to me all the time when they see the bike, not only is it great looking, it is really a pleasure to ride. That little power when you need it makes all the difference in the world. I live in a resort area, the parking at the beaches is impossible at times. If you do want a spot you have to be there very early. I put a basket on one side for the soft cooler and bungee on my beach chair and cruise by the line waiting for a parking spot!! How cool is that? I can not say enough about the bike. It has been so great when there is bumper to bumper traffic in both directions, I just ride along and get there in less time than if I were driving, never to worry about a parking spot anywhere. I do so recomend Currie bikes, you will not be sorry!! They are a great value. Sincerely, Cate A. Cape Cod Massachusetts more

Ezip Trailz from Currie 9/30/2011

Love at first ride! 9/30/2011

From the easy to assemble iZip Zuma that arrived ahead of schedule to the unexpected quality of the frame, components and motor, I was carried away. To the point that my only suggestion is that Currie supply a battery charger for your car as well as the ebike. I have gone as long as 15 days without driving my car. Think I am saving money and the planet as well, I do more
