Living the NATURAL life and so happy! Over the last three months, I have been in the process of transition from my shoulder-length straight/relaxed hair style to my new natural low-cut and finally made my dream a reality on Friday, June 10! I made the decision to cut off my hair in March 2011. In April 2011, I went to my normal hair salon I had been going to for over 8 years and I was told I needed to wait 6 months before cutting off my hair. I left not happy and not waiting 6 months. That day, I decided not to put any more heat in my hair and get ready for my new look. more

I had my first visit to Curltopia on Saturday 6/11 and I was very impressed with the appearance of the salon, but overall the the level of service that I received, it was hands down the best that I have received in a long time at a salon. The receptionist greeted me, asked if I wanted something to drink and before I knew it, my stylist Jay was ready for me. Jay did a thorough consultation on my hair, and based on her recommendations I decided to big chop for the second time. While under drier, my stylist wrote up a list of To do's/how to's for me to take home and I was excited because I had all but one of the products that she had listed. I will definitely be returning to the salon. So if you want great service Curltopia is the place. more

I recently visited Curltopia and my stylist was Giselle. Giselle was very knowledgeable about natural hair and what product would work best with my hair type. Upon entering the salon I was greeted by the receptionist and asked if I would like something to drink while I waited for my stylist. Everyone seem so upbeat in the salon, the music that was playing I thought was great. I ended up getting my hair two strand twisted but I left with it twisted because I have a lot of thick hair and sitting under the dryer is not my thing. Giselle did twist it in a style that allow me to wear it twisted a couple of days then untwist. All in all my expericence was great. Will be going back. more

The salon had a nice atmosphere very relaxed and the staff was friendly. Everyone greeted me with a smile, While sitting under the dryer (which I hate) I was offered a water or tea. This was my first visit, and I was pleased with my hair. Aliah was AWESOME!!! She was very helpful, and took time to teach me about my hair and the types of products will work well with my hair. She answered all my questions and was very personable. She gave me all the do's and don'ts about my hair. I love the experience that I had here and I am excited about my next appt. more

Curltopia looks modern/pretty and the employees are generally nice and appear do curls and twist good, BUT DONT LET THEM DO ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES SKILLS WITH CHEMICALS CAUSE THEY WILL JACK UR HAIR UP!!! more

My stylist, Aliah, was awesome! The salon is very chic, everyone is courteous and professional. Aliah walked me through and explained my hair texture and told me what I needed to do in order to accomplish the look I want. I ended up getting a two strand twist and I am going back in 2 weeks to get a hydration. I am pretty excited about this new hair experience now that I have been to Curltopia. I am more confident in my hair and soooo glad to find someone to educate me about natural hair! more

Upon walking into Curltopia I was very impressed. The ambiance was breath taking and the facility was very clean. I was greeted when I entered and my stylist Aliah was called to alert her that her appointment had arrived. Aliah can to one of the couches where I was sitting, greeted herself, and took me to her work station. I was there to do the ""big chop"" and finger style. Aliah looked through my hair to see what she was working with and explained my hair texture. She then took me over for a wash, condition, cut, and hydration. My oh my...that hydration was the bomb diggity bomb dot com. I so enjoyed the steam penetrating my scalp. My hair felt new with the cut and hydration. After that was done we went back to Aliah's station and she started to expalin each product that she was using on my hair and what its purpose was on my hair. There was a mixture of products named on my hair but when I was all done I was very happy about the result. Since I have not done uych research on natural hair but knew that this was something I wanted to do. Aliah wrote down each product that was used and how often to use for me being a virgin to natural style. I was so afraid by the reviews that I would get from my hair. But when i tell you everyone I know loved it. I posted on my facebook that I DID NOT LIKE IT...I LOVED IT. My hair was so curly. Never knew that covered under all the perm I had naturally curly locs. Needless to say but I have told everyone about Curltopia and my experience with Aliah. I even called the very same day to make and appointment for my mother-in-law. So I am one happy customer who will also be a repeat customer. Thanks Aliah and the Curltopia staff for helping me walk into my natural with confidence, grace, and excitement. This was my 1st appt @ Curltopia, I was very pleased with everyone and my experience. The customer service was excellent. My stylist, Aliah is very competent with haircare and styling. I appreciate the time she spent ""inspecting"" my hair and informing of any problems she noticed and what I need to do to for prevention. She was able to answer all of my questions and gave great advice. I have already scheduled my 2nd appt. more

I've been on a quest to find a Deva Stylist in the Atlanta area for the last 9 months. I thought I was going to have to go to New York but luckily I found Robin at Curltopia. She went to New York and brought back all that she learned. She saved me the trip. She did a wonderful job cutting and styling my curly hair. Robin is friendly, professional and very well educated about curly hair. I'm very happy to have finally found her. Thank you!! more

I found Curltopia after going to Miss. Jessie's website and looking at the Salons in Georgia. I narrowed it down by going to the websites of each of the salons and look at what the salon promised. Curltopia promised an appointment that would leave its client educated. Jay/Curltopia definitely delivered!! more

I read about this salon and the deva cut for curly hair in the newspaper. It was easy to get an appointment and Robin talked me through the shape and benefits of the cut before she did anything. Do your research on the deva cut before going there because it's different that most cuts?it is cut dry and follows the shape of the curls and the head. Robin is so nice and easy to talk to. She gave me a ""class"" on curly hair and how to keep it from getting so frizzy. She wrote down instructions and suggested products that will work with it. So far, it's been a week since my cut and it is really easy to care for. It looks very natural and it is very quick in the mornings. The salon is nice, clean and I recommend talking to Robin about your curly hair. Cutting curly hair is her passion. more

I went to Curltopia on 5/6/11. I loved how when I walked in the door I was greeted and promptly served.Sara was the receptionist there. My hair stylist (Aliah) was ready to to see my hair. I wasn't offered a beverage, but I believe it was because my stylist was ready for me. I loooove the atmophere and the big mirrors so you can see exactly what the stylist is doing to your hair. I had a lot of damamge to my hair especially in the back of my hair. She really didn't have any answers for me. But, she did suggest that I go to see a Dr. about my hair, as well as take some hair, skin and nail vitiamns to promote growth. I already use Miss Jessie's products so that was not a big shock to me that she used that on my hair. But, I did learn about the products that you have to mix products together so that it will work in my hair.That was information that I did not know. I watched how another stylist worked in the prodcuts on a customer that was getting a finger style and that helped a lot. I was kind of upset at the end of my visit when I went to pay and my total was a lot higher then I had anticipated because I got my split ends cut. I didn't know that this was $45! When my hair stylist suggested to that vs. the hydration treatment I thought it was at most $20. I don't think cutting split ends should be the same as doing a Big chop! That is the only negative comment I have. Overall,my experience was Great! I was told what to use on my hair, but not really how to use it. Maybe bc I have them already? Great service though and I love my stylist. Maybe next time she will suggest how I use these products on my hair just to make sure I am doing it correctly. I love my twist though!! more

On Sunday May 1, 2011, I attended the Natural Hair Fair in Atlanta, GA where I met some of the staff who works at Curltopia. I was transitioning to natural hair and didn?t know what styles that would work for me in addition to having relaxed mixed with the natural. I came upon Curltopia?s mini salon that was setup in the middle of the floor. Some of the staff were actually doing sample styles and what I saw interest me. Of course, I joined others who were in line and had a portion of my hair curled with Miss Jessie?s and Jane Carter products that I fell in love with. On May 5, 2011 I was in the Salon being fully serviced, I decided to cut all of my relaxed hair off. I was excited and comfortable with doing so after sharing that moment with one of the staff members at the Natural Hair Fair. more

I love this salon....I have been a client there for about a month....I truly look forward to my appts simply because I know that I am well taken care of & I learn something new about my hair every time. Right now I can't imagine going anywhere else. Great Salon! Great Staff! more

I am finally letting my hair grow out so I have only checked out one other salon that specializes in natural hair. I have been spoiled by going to a barber to get my hair maintained since I was wearing it so low. No wait time - in and out - so I had to brace myself for going into a salon. To my surprise, I didn't need to worry! I was immediately greeted and checked in. My stylist, Giselle, scooped me right up and started evaluating my hair. She was the one who turned out needing patience as I had a zillion questions BUT she answered every last one of them. more

Curltopia caters to all types of curly hair, no matter the ethnicity. It's nice to go to a salon where you see all colors of people with all types of curls!I also love going to a salon that doesn't have kids running around all over the place! I enjoy Curtopia's relaxing environment. What I love more than anything is Giselle! She transitioned me from locs to a rockin' fro. She colored my hair in December and I STILL get compliments on the amazing color. She also offers styling options that help me with growing out my fro. She keeps my hair healthy and stylish. In fact, someone complimented me today on my ""great natural look""! She even gives tips on how to maintain your look between visits. You've got to try Curtopia! more

Curltopia is a wonderful salon with excellent customer service. My stylist, Giselle, is the best and made me feel very special. She is very knowledgeable about hair health and care. The atmosphere in the salon is very soothing and comfortable. I would recommend Gisellle and Curltopia to anyone looking for a great salon and stylist. more

My overall experience at Curltopia was amazing. My stylist Stacie made me feel very appreciative and comfortable during my salon visit. She gave me insight on my hair care and how to maintain it at home. I purchased several products, Moroccan Oil, Kera Care Shampoo, and Design Hair Gloss to help me maintain my salon look at home. She is such a wonderful hairstylist which makes my return to Curltopia definite!! more
