Worst

I?ve been in Atlanta for four month and I was in desperate need of a colorist. A co-worker recommended Curltopia - she said you must see Giselle!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! My hair was cut in all different lengths, to the point where I got it straightened 4 months later and my regular beautician had to cut it even shorter to even the length. Now my hair needs more treatment and I trusted curltopia to help me get my curls back but now there worse! Do not go! The money is not worth it because they are expensive. $120 later and my hair is F* up. more

My stylist Tiffany is awesome! She is completely professional and very knowledgeable. I told her my hair tangles very easily and I am very tender-headed and what used to be a tearful nightmare to comb out my hair after a shampoo at the Dominican salons was like a dream when Tiffany was combing out my hair. She did it so gentle I could barely feel a thing and the blow drier was not hot at all. She made me feel comfortable and she listened to the specific things I told her about my hair and she wasn't judgemental at all. I will definitely be going back every couple weeks as per my ""prescription"" she gave me and I am very happy that Curltopia will be along for the ride to help make my transition a ""smooth"" one! :0) more

Great Salon 1/19/2012

I finally decided to do the big chop but I am new to this area and didn't know where to go. I did some research and the reviews for the salon were so great I had to try it out. I am happy to say that all the reviews are correct! I was able to get an appointment before New Years with Giselle. She made me feel at ease, she showed me how to properly care for my hair and what products to use but most importantly I really appreciated the fact that she showed me what to do so that I could recreate the style AFTER I washed my hair. The atmosphere in the salon was warm and inviting and it was nice to see so many people with different natural hairstyles. I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back again soon. more

WOW! Great experience!!! 1/18/2012

So, my first time in a salon since the BC (over 1 year ago) and I'm ready to throw a relaxer in my hair because I'm simply over the whole natural hair experience....WELL, Jay got ahold of my dry kinky curls and worked wonders! I could not believe the hair on my head was actually mine (with no chemicals). She tried various products to see which one worked with my hair type and then wrote out a ""prescription"" to keep my hair healthy and looking good. It was well worth the money and I will definitely return....Such a good experience! :-) more

Curltastic Experience 1/10/2012

My experience at Curltopia was excellent and I can?t wait to return for my next appointment. The d?cor is splendid and the staff was wonderful. I have been wearing weaves for the past two years and decided it was time to just let it go, but I didn?t want to go to just any hairstylist. I did my research and Curltopia came highly recommended. I could hardly wait until Curltopia opened for business today and at 10:00 AM I promptly called to make my appointment. Much to my surprise I was able to schedule my appointment for today. My appointment was with Jordan who was very educational and forthcoming with information. She was patient and answered all of my questions. Most of all she made me feel at ease about my decision. Every minute of my appointment was spent on my hair. I LOVE my hair and most of all Jordan educated me on how to take care of my hair and prescribed the best products for MY hair. The Best Curls Ever! 1/9/2012

The texture specialist that styled my hair was Giselle Grant. She did an excellent job. First she gave me a consultation and from that point she began explaining everything to me step by step. She explained every product she used and told me which products she believed would be best for my hair. She answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable of all of the products she was using as well as the products I told her I used for my hair. I never felt at any point that she was pushing products on me to meet a quota. I would highly recommend Giselle Grant and Curltopia salon that's located at the Highlands Village Shopping Center in Smyrna, GA to any natural hair woman who is trying to enhance her curl texture. My favorite products are the products Giselle suggested: Deva Curl No Poo; Deva Curl One Condition; Jane Carter Curl Defining Cream; Jane Carter Leave-in-Condition; and Miss Jessie's Buttercreme. more

I absolutely LOVE this salon! Jordan is my stylist and at my last visit I mentioned that I wanted to cut out all the straight pieces in my hair. She wrote me a hair prescription of shampoo, conditioners, and moisturizers to help me add more definition to my hair. After that we came up with a target date to cut the straight pieces out. I'm really excited about this definition journey and can't wait until my next appointment. If you have natural hair, definitely go see them. You won't be disappointed! more

Curltopia's Maxine is Great! 1/3/2012

I really enjoyed my first visit to Curltopia on Dec. 29, 2011. Maxine was my stylist and she was very patient and knowledgaeble. She explained every product and treatment that she used in my hair. From the Deva Curl Deep Conditiner to the Miss Jessie's Baby Butter Creme. I loved the Steam Hydration Treatment! The customer service and attention to detail was excellent. I would definitely recommend you going to see Maxine at Curltopia. Thank you to Curltopia and Maxine! I will definitely be back! more

I enjoyed my experience with Giselle a couple of weeks ago at Curltopia. I learned great techniques on how to place products and style my curly hair. Since then I've been playing with products and seeing what works best for my hair when its in its natural state. The salon is beautiful and vibrant with curls from around the world lol. I would highly recommend Giselle to anyone who is ready to learn more about there natural hair. I now have less frustration when wearing my hair curly. more

I went natural via the ""big chop"" 9 months ago and was not loving my hair. Enter Maxine at Curltopia. She expertly styled my hair, talked to me extensively about product selection AND made me see my hair's natural beauty. I now look forward to my ""new"" hair journey.
