While riding my motorcycle up around Lake Baryessa and not too far from Napa, I also missed the sign to this small restaurant. Walking in, I realized that it was very small, perhaps 6 tables, but welcoming. A man, wearing a cook outfit welcomed me and I soon after realized that he was the whole show: greater, waiter, chef and cashier!\r

I perused the menu and it looked authentic, but then decided to let him suggest something. It was warm, so I sad outside on the patio and did not want to eat much. He served a delightful spinach salad quickly sautéed in balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with blue cheese. Bruschetta made the side dish: fresh cherry tomatoes and basil where nicely resting on country bread brushed with olive oil and garlic. \r

I minded having to restrain myself because whatever other folks were eating at another table made them moan in pleasure, but riding and heavy eating don’t go along. I’ll surely go back for more. If you are looking for a small, off the bitten path, very reasonably priced, authentic Italian restaurant, make the trip up to Spanish Flat and give it a try! \r
Pros: Great, fresh food and no crowd
Cons: A bit far away
