I grew up on cuban food, loved it back home. Being in vegas I visited 2 other cuban restaurants, and wasnt too impressed, Just went here last week, and have been going by every other day to try new things.\r Its kind of small and hidden, prices are very good, $10 or so, Ive loved everything Ive ordered so far. the owner is very nice and speaks to all his guests, laid back atmosphere, friendly fast service. \r one thing I WILL say is they have the BEST flan I have ever tasted in my LIFE!\r Pros: Food is authentic, Cons: small place more

Goldmine if you love good Cuban food! 11/15/2008

My wife and I go to Vegas a couple of time a year. We really enjoy finding the best restaurants when we visit. We have been to the Cuban Cafe 5 or 6 times now, and every visit has been a wonderful dining experience. If you are looking for that Mom and Pop place with unbelievable food at good prices, this is your place. Everything we have tried has been exceptional. It is owned by a man who is personally involved and oversees the operation, making sure everything is as it should be every time we go. The staff is friendly and efficient. This has become one of our favorite Vegas stops. We now try to visit at least twice each visit. Great for lunch and dinner. Their pasta dishes are amazing.. Bon Appetite!!! Pros: Great food for great prices with warm and friendly service. Cons: Small place and easily missed. Worth trying to find it though. more

02/05 The number of Cuban restaurants in Las Vegas has increased several fold since we first discovered this restaurant. This was our third visit to this small and informal restaurant located in a small shopping center. We both enjoyed our mango salmon entrees, entrees are served with an interesting veggie rice and delicious cole slaw. Service was warm and friendly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/09 revisit:: We began with sweet fried bananas along with garlic bread. It has been over 4 years since we last dined at this restaurant so we each ordered an entrée that we had enjoyed in the past. My wife chose salmon al mango – seared salmon with mango sauce and vegetable rice. I ordered pollo tequila – seared marinated chicken breast in fresh herbs with tequila sauce and chipotle served with vegetable rice. Both dishes were good, but my chicken was slightly dry. Prices are very reasonable and portions are ample so we ordered a flan to go in order to meet the minimum $35 purchase requirement. The flan was consumed later the same night and was excellent. Pros: Good Cuban food Cons: Not very busy more

My Favorite 6/6/2004

Moderate prices, generous portions, friendly owner and staff, fabulous food make this my favorite. For the best dish, ask for something not on the menu - masitas de puerco - pork medallions and portobello mushrooms in a cream sherry sauce. Make sure you have a side of the plantanos maduros, the fried sweet plantains. There are many other good choices including Cuban sandwiches if you aren't so hungry. Pros: great Cuban food, friendly staff, smell your food cook Cons: , cramped parking lot more
