I have ordered out AND dined in at the Crystal on many occasions. The service is always top-notch. The long-overdue remodel makes the place look 100 times better, and they serve the SAME GREAT FOOD! Their burgers are to die for, and the seafood is delicious. The spaghetti leaves a lot to be desired though. Super huge portions, great coffee. A fun place to watch and make fun of bennies! A++ more

Fast service ! 3/20/2009

I remember the Crystal Diner from when i was much younger and it use to be my favorite place to eat. It has recently been remodeled and the inside looks much nicer then it did before. The food is descent but in my opinion it use to be better. For one thing the service is great and the waitresses are extremely nice. I would suggest this place for lunch not so much dinner. more

A real turn around 11/13/2008

From a diner that began as mediocre, the rennovation and what appears to be a new chef really have turned this place around.\r The service is EXCELLENT, probably some of the best I've had in years. I'm not usually a fan of ordering French Toast from restaurants, but the Crystal Diner really stole my heart with theirs. \r Their pancakes rock too.\r You should definitely check it out. more

Used to be better 11/13/2008

The diner recently underwent a huge remodeling and reopened as a shiny red, blue, and silver monstrosity. I can only assume that they hired someone new to cook the food because it was better before the remodeling. It was also cheaper before. The food isn't terrible, but there are better diners in Toms River. more

Good food 10/7/2008

Crystal Diner offers a decent variety of items to choose from, all day long. They make really good chicken fingers and fries if your looking just to pick on appetizer type foods. They also have pretty good burgers. I'm not a breakfast item person so I've never eaten breakfast there but I hear they make great omelettes. more

I like it 4/3/2008

It's a very clean diner, and the "diner" food is good. I would not reccomend getting anything other than breakfast food and sandwhiches. What I mean by this is do not go there expecting a gourmet dinner. Of the waiter's that I have had, a few aren't very nice but I must admit I had a few great ones. I would suggest going there for breakfast food and try their bananna and choc chip pancakes! more

    Crystal Diner is a locally owned and operated dine-in restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner solutions for guests in Toms River, New Jersey. The restaurant serves a selection of appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, and chicken, pasta and seafood items, as well as features a full-service bakery. It provides a children's menu that includes grilled cheese, hamburger, and chicken fingers. Crystal Diner also offers catering services. The restaurant serves fried shrimp, crab cakes, sea scallops and clam strips. In addition, it features a banquet room that can accommodate up to 60 people.
