eh

They were out for 4 or 5 of the menu items the night I visited, as well as the only beer on the menu I wanted. I went with the buffalo chicken tenders, which were soggy and tasted...

If you want to rock out 12/14/2009

This place is awesome, it's a totally chill bar with no pretentious people, down to earth, hella awesome & cute bartenders who make great drinks, good music, overall this place rocks Pros: Live music, great crowd, cute bartenders more

Don't waste your time 3/23/2009

Crowleys used to be one of the best local bars in Raleigh. Great after work crowd good food specials etc. Not any longer. It shows how running a good bar is not that easy. There are much better places to go. Don't waste your $ or time here. Pros: location Cons: Everything else more

Really 2/20/2009

Anyone who has been there in the last few years knows that taziebaby is either an employee or an owner . The bartenders look like she-males and the service and prices are awful, nice try!!!! more

Horrible Experience 2/6/2009

I have been to Crowleys on more than one occasion to experience all of their weekly events. So far, I have been very disappointed in the quality of service and the cleanliness of the bar. The only bartender I trust is the new, short, blonde grl named Andrea, but as of today I was informed she would no longer be working there. They got rid of a good bartender!!! The others are horrible!!! Do not come here if you're expecting to be taken care of properly. Customer service and knowledge goes a long way, but not here. They really have an attitude about the proper care of their customers. I like the british bartender too. She and Andrea are the only ones that I would recommend, but since the other is gone, then just go during the afternoon after 4pm and you'll see what I'm talking about. Oh and whatever you do, do NOT order food from this place. It's ridiculous!!! Their menu looks appetizing, but it's very deceptive. They don't ever have anything in stock and they are SLOW at getting it to you. Just stay clear of this place all together. It's not worth it. Go somewhere else. Pros: Only 2 bartenders Cons: Food, service, etc... more

Food always cold, drinks are not properly made, horrible cleaning upkeep, and most beer is out of stock. 2/5/2009

I attended Reggae Night on Wednesday last week only to find myself in a dense crowd of people and the air was thick with the smell of we ed (this thing won't let me spell it). The music was phenomenal though!! Great band. I thought maybe Crowley's was having an off night so I returned the following afternoon for a beer after work with some friends. That day, my friends and I were disgusted by the smell and overall appearance of the bar. The bar top was filthy and the chairs were sticky. I requested a certain beer and they were out of stock so I asked for another kind (I can't remember) and they were out of pretty much everything I asked for except for Miller Lite and Bud and Bud Light. So I drank a Bud Light. So then I ordered a flatbread pizza from their ""newly"" designed menu which offers goodies from Catering Concepts. The cook had to run up to the Harris Teeter and took a sweet 30 minutes picking up the cheese for my order lol. Then he took another 30 minutes to cook the damn thing. I'm sorry to say, but if you're in the mood for food, do not go to this place. It's a complete joke. It's a poorly managed business. The bartenders are only interested in their ""regulars"" who are loud and crude and tell disgusting jokes. And if you're looking for a place to party on the weekend, don't come here either. It's packed beyond belief and the bar takes 20 minutes to get a drink. All the other reviews on here are absolutely true. I gave Crowleys of Stonehenge several tries and they failed time and time again. I'll go elsewhere. Oh and watch out for Oliver Twist. The same people who own this bar also own Oliver Twist. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything lol more

Hope you are not thirsty 12/24/2008

Let me tell you, the staff at Crowleys really puts the wait in wait staff. I go to this place maybe once a year. Now I remember why. Nobody should have stand at the bar and wait 20 minutes for 2 drinks. That is ridiculous. They are some of the worst bartenders I have ever witnessed. Pros: ?????????? Cons: staff more

GROSS! 12/21/2008

Most of these reviews are true, thugs, bad food, and service that is a joke! Alot of nasty alcoholics too! Bartenders are complete ugly B*&tches ! If u do go look for the blonde waitress she is descent at least. Slu%y bartenders with bad teeth and body acne who will overcharge your card!!!! I will not be going back to this place ever again!!!!! Cons: nasty, dirty, alcoholics, what else is there to say! more

Crowleys Stonehenge does not deserve a star 6/30/2008

Well, they changed to a ""private"" club (yeah right). To get in, you walk by a group of 4-5 ""thug"" types. If you don't know you are supposed to ""sign in"", one of the thugs might just kick you with his foot. What a way to treat a lady (yes I am one). Don't take a date there unless you want her to be disrespected. Cons: you have to walk by a gauntlet of thugs more

Worst Bar in North Raleigh!! Do not bring your credit card. 6/15/2008

Worst Bar in North Raleigh..... Pros: Easy women and lesibans Cons: Wait staff, Bartenders more

Good Times! 3/25/2007

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! You can pick up a cold beer and a guy at the same time!! DJ Ted and DJ White ROCK THE HOUSE!!!!! Good Music and Dancing! Nothing but good times!!!!!!!! more

eh 9/19/2006

They were out for 4 or 5 of the menu items the night I visited, as well as the only beer on the menu I wanted. I went with the buffalo chicken tenders, which were soggy and tasted like they were from the frozen food aisle at Food Lion. The service was so so...I have to go easy because there was only one waitress. Not much beer to choose from. The place, including the bathroom, was quite dirty. I really would prefer never to return. Pros: I didn't die while I was there Cons: slow service and food, bad beer selection, dirty more

live music is saving grace 3/22/2006

A chance to see some of the best reggae for free! Like GOOD reggae? Go Wednesday night. The Amatures won't leave you disappointed and play like people are actually paying attention! This is a ""drinking/pick-up"" bar and I didn't feel like the crowd needed music to do either, but the band rocked. It's disappointing to see such a large group of people that seem like they think they're too cool to dance. I really think that's just not what they came for, but we loved it. At least some of the folks were grooving! Food is actually a little above average bar fare... some variety. Service reeks of Miss. Clairol and silicone! Oh, well.... No cover charge, what do you want? Guys should love this place. Girls, you'll need to get a guy to place your drink order if you want service. Pros: Bands, no cover, location Cons: service, smokey, crowded more

Beauty no brains! 12/30/2005

I am utterly shocked at how much the establishment, food, & service have changed in the last 2 years. Our waitress was very cute but had not a clue what was on the menu or when she should actually bring us our food. She wasn't new to waitressing there so I couldn't blame her that. She was kind of on the ball with drinks. Why wouldn't she be? That is where the bulk of her tip comes from. Not a good first date place. If you aren't a big smoker bypass Crowley's. The venilation is so bad you can cut it w/ a knife. We ordered salads & apps. The apps took longer than expected. I only go to Crowley's if a good band is playing. Parking is good if you get there early. Honestly, I prefer the old Crowley's. Pros: Good bands, Inexpensive Cons: Very Smokey, Service more

not going there again 8/22/2005

I don't know whether they were having a bad night, but my food was cold, the service bad, the martini's teeny, and overall it felt like the place was going out of business. Pros: open late more

Think twice about ordering food 8/4/2005

They were out of most of the food we wanted to order. ( Harris Teeter is within in the same shopping area). Our nacho's came to us without the black bean, sour cream or salsa. After telling us that they did not come with what we ordered(they were listed on the menu as being included) our waitress took the time to check (she only had 3 tables) and she came back 5 minutes later with sour cream and salsa, they were out of black beans. We had to ask for everything. or sampler was nothing more than 3 cheese sticks, 4 chicken wings and 3 poppers thrown on a plate and it was cold. It was some ot the worst food and service I have ever had Pros: nice decor Cons: bad food, poor service, all food cold more
