Best

Called a ton of movers before I chose Crossroads...some were too $$$ ($250 to move 1 couch, 1 loveseat and 1 chair 5 miles...REALLY??), some didn't return my calls, some were down...

Worst

Just don't take my word for it.... check out Crossroads Moving Company LLC....Facebook page and click on owner Matthew Brown.....professional????? Christian based company??????? ...

Get it in writing 9/2/2008

If you hire this shady company, you better get your quote in writing and have your lawyer look at it. Otherwise, they will try and stick it to you. The owner apparently is unable to figure out how to use a telephone to call someone. Look around and find some reputable company. Pros: Good guys working there Cons: Owner is a bum more

Crossroads Moving is a Trusted Moving Company 8/7/2008

When I move I don't think about anyone else; but, Crossroads Moving. I have used them 3 times over a 5 year period. Their rates can't be beat and includes insurance. The level of professionalism of each team of movers has varied but never to the point of where I would describe them as unprofessional. Some of the moves have required them to take furniture apart to move it, reassemble at the new location, remove doors to get furniture in and out, manuever wide furniture down narrow hallways ... I had an incident where by piano seat got scratched; but, because their rates incude insurance, I didn't have to worry. Within weeks it was repaired by an expert who also educated me on the quality of the piano that I received as a gift. I've used a big name franchised moving company before and the experience was not good. They gave me an estimate, showed up to an 1000 sq ft apt with an 18 wheeler moving truck, complained through the entire move to the point where I cut the move short because I could not take their negative attitudes. CROSSROADS MOVING CAME TO MY RESCUE AND MOVED THE REMAINING ITEMS. Pros: rate, service, staff Cons: none identified more

Unethical business operating under a Christian name...Avoid if you do not want to pay double the estimate 7/23/2008

My husband and I hired Crossroads Moving to relocate a 26 cubic foot refridgerator from a relative's house in Gallatin TN to Brentwood TN. The sales rep estimated the job to take no more than 3 hours and estimated the entire job to be @$300. He did not drive to our house and give a final overview of the actual job. When asked for the flat rate, he refused to give it because he orally guaranteed that this job would not take more than 2 1/2 hours. I asked him again for the flat rate and he would not give it. WRONG! The job took 6 1/2 hours and we were charged $643. That is double what the estimate was given. The doors had to be removed to get the refridgerator in our house. My husband had to provide some tools, physically assist removing doors to both the refridgerator and the house, and then reattach doors. When we called the sales rep, he verified that he did give the estimate and that we were obligated to pay the $99 per hour plus 2 hrs of drive time. I called to speak with the owner. The office manager wanted to place me on hold. After my objection, she took the call and said she would relay the message. I asked for a call back from the owner. No call returned. I called again and left another message. No one has returned our phone call. What is sad is that the workers hired were professional and did a good job. They also commented that they hated when this happened because it occurs often. We were concerned for our family members who were using this company the next day to relocate out of town. It was because of our family members that we hired this company, and she interviewed several companies before hiring this one. This is an unethical business operating under a Christian name. You must pay in cash or cashiers check. Avoid hiring this business if you do not want to pay more than twice what was estimated or else lock in at a flat rate. Take your business elsewhere. You will be glad you did. Pros: professional movers Cons: unethical business practice; poor customer service; overcharged more

Nothing Christian here - AVOID 6/26/2008

They advertise as a Christian company. The owner gives Christians a bad name. Avoid at all costs. We were charged twice as much as the estimate. They threatened to hold our furniture hostage. The owner was not man enough to answer our calls and explain himself. Even if you have to pay more please go elsewhere, You will be glad. (The actual workers seem like nice guys) Pros: Good workers Cons: Lousy owner more

wonderful experience! 6/5/2008

We were extremely pleased with Crossroads. The guys were very professional and very careful with our belongings, yet had a great sense of humor. The rate per hour was by far the cheapest of any of the other companies we checked. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be using them again and telling all of our friends about them. more

Great guys 5/6/2008

This company helped us move last May. They were great! They were funny too. They cut up with me and my husband. They moved us into a 3 story home. Those steps probably wore them out with our large furniture, but they never complained. We are moving again this month and will be hiring them again!! more

Best Move Ever! 12/20/2006

These guys were great. They moved us twice. Showed up on time, wore clean uniforms (ok, it was the same tshirt but you know what I mean), went through all of the paperwork with me ahead of time and explained what all I was signing before I signed it. We have a funky turn in our stairway going up and they managed to get a bunch of different odd shaped stuff up the stairs. They were organized and did not gouge us on price. Use them! Pros: Showed up on time, did not gouge me with price Cons: None! more
