Matt is very dedicated in what he does and is always willing to answer any questions. He was successful the first night catching the raccoon we had seen on our deck. For two weeks he left the cages and checked them every day in case there were more critters in the yard. My wife and I had been hearing scratching noises since early May 2019 when I found one of the air vents to our crawl space had been pulled open by some kind of critter. After that we kept hearing scratching noises every morning between 6:00 a.m. and 6:39 a.m every morning for weeks. I tried several other wildlife companies but they said they were too busy to come out. I kept looking and I found Critter Control of Toledo, Ohio. I called Critter Control in mid May and they said that they couldn't come out until June 6, 2019. They inspected our crawl space at least twice and they could not find any evidence of what we thought was a raccoon. The noises continued every morning right under the where our bathtub in the Master bathroom meets the outside wall. That was where we heard the scratching every morning. Critter Control set traps under the crawl space for a good three weeks from June 6, 2019 through June 24, 2019 and they were unable to trap any animal. Critter Control was out here on these dates in June 2019 on these dates, 6/6, 6/13, 6/14, 6.17, 6/18, 6/20,6/21 and 6/24, The technician that was out here on June 24, 2019 (Nate) said that they had not found anything in the traps as of yet and he was removing the traps. I told him that we haven't heard anything under the crawl space since June 16, 2019 and we think that the raccoon or other animal gave up and moved out. Nate said if we hear anything under the crawl space within the next three weeks which he said is our grace period, that we should call Critter Control and they would bring traps back out. I thanked Nate and I told him that we know that Critter Control of Toledo tried their best to catch what was under our floor, but what ever it was never touched the baits in the trap cages. Critter Control, thanks for trying when I couldn't get any other company to come out and try to capture what we thought was a raccoon. I know that Critter Control supervisors and their wildlife technicians tried their best for us but nothing found. more

I only left a 3 star review, here is why.. Critter Control came out to my home on May 28, 2019 and Matt did an inspection of the outside of my home and under the crawlspace trying to locate what I thought was a raccoon that had taken up residence in my crawlspace.. Something had pried off one of my air vents on my ranch home on May 10, 2019 and has been living there scratching the floor. Matt came out two more times and he never saw any raccoon under the crawl, no raccoon feces and no damage under our crawlspace. Every morning since May 10th I have been woken up by scratching under my crawlspace. I had trouble finding any company that would come out and take a look, but I finally found Critter Control and they did the best the could but couldn't find or trap a raccoon or any other animal and I paid Critter Control $246.82 for the inspection and the two visits by Matt. For about a week it appeared that what had been living under my crawlspace had left., but before I knew it he was back making the same scratching noises. On the first week of June my wife and both started hearing the scratching noises again so we called Critter Control back and they sent two employees out to check my crawlspace and the outside of my home. On June 6, 2019 Tom showed up at 7:45 a.m. and set a trap to catch whatever was under my crawlspace. He left a note that said the trap was found empty and he would be back Monday to check the trap again. On June 6, 2019 Nathan showed up at 2:15 p.m. and checked the trap but found nothing in the trap.and he left a note that the traps had been checked and said I'll be back with Tom to check up on the trap. On June 10, 2019 Tom and Nathan showed up and checked the trap and they said the trap was empty and none of the bait (marshmallows) had not been taken. They said there is nothing under your crawlspace. They said the scratching that you are hearing is probably mice.they then left with the empty trap. I am out $246.82 and still hearing noises and Critter Control gave up & left. more

Worked with Matt to trap raccoons that were climbing all over our home. Matt was very responsive in placing the traps where he thought they would be most effective. Caught three raccoons in the traps over the course of two weeks. Will definitely call them again if we have any other issues. more

We would highly recommend Matthew Burkett of Critter Control of Toledo. His educational background deems him a highly qualified technician. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and quickly identified our issue – a raccoon had dug a hole through a wall behind aluminum siding, which was hidden from view from below the roof line. He patiently and thoroughly provided daily updates, and offered his guidance by text more than once. When a raccoon was caught, he assured me that it would be euthanized in a compassionate and humane manner. It is obvious that Matthew is passionate about this work, and we will most definitely work with him if there are any further critter issues are encountered. We give five gold stars to both Matthew Burkett and Critter Control of Toledo! more
