Editorial review from Citysearch 9/11/2012

I’ve lived at Creekstone apartments for a bit over a year now. And for the most part, things are OK. Maintenance will come in a fairly timely fashion to fix whatever you need, but my only complaint is they don’t clean up after themselves. Usually I find dust and grime trailing back to the door after they have left. The office staff is for the most part friendly and easy to work with…but the manager, is probably the most unprofessional and hardest to work with individual that I know. \r \r Over the weekend, I decided to have some friends and family over to swim and eat at the pool. Granted there were a lot of people (maybe about 20 total), half of them were children. Though I didn't see a problem, I've seen large groups at the pool on several occasions. The children were behaving themselves, and jumping off the ledges, but we were not breaking any pool rules. The manager happened to be swimming with her boyfriend and child and approached me stating that I’m only allowed to have 2 guests. She follows that with, “I will not kick you out, but you all need to consolidate yourselves and share the pool area” We do as we are told, moving all our things to use up only 2 tables. Not even 30 minutes pass and she calls the neighborhood cop to kick us out, stating we are “breaking the lease terms”. In turn, I went to talk to her about how much I didn’t appreciate how she just went back on her word of not kicking us out. She says to me, “I didn’t say I would not kick you out, I only said I did not WANT to kick you out. The kids are jumping off the sides of the pool and there are just too many people. It’s getting loud and there are residents that live around here. If these residents see that I’m allowing this, it’ll reflect negatively on me” First of all, there is not a rule that kids can’t jump off the side of the pool, only that they cannot DIVE. Secondly, we are a bunch of young professionals with our kids trying to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. Things were calm, no one was being rambunctious or disturbing, Anyone can go ahead and ask, Andy Benavides (the officer), if we were in fact doing anything “wrong”. \r \r There have been countless weekends I’ve spent at the pool where I’ve seen the pool filled with young adults partying, blaring their loud music, flipping off the edges of the pool AND drinking with glass beer bottles in the pool…but they NEVER get kicked out. What is the most saddening of this situation is that she ruined these kids afternoon! We moved out to the volleyball area and had a picnic out there for the rest of the afternoon. But it churned my stomach as I watched her as she lay out smoking like a chimney around the kids! And then later in the afternoon when two young men went to swim in the pool with their GLASS BEER BOTTLES, she says nothing, but instead just hangs out in the pool with them!!! I find it interesting she decided she can discriminate us but then turn the “blind eye” as she feels fit. \r \r And during office hours, when I have come in to talk to her, she’ll be in her office, talking on the phone, pretending not to see anyone. One day, I patiently waited… I clocked it, 18 minutes….while she was intently on the phone. Not once did she attempt to give me a signal of politeness to just hold on a moment. Then I overhear her saying, “I’ll see you later”…it was a PERSONAL CALL!! And she did not even have the manners to apologize that she kept me waiting for that long. She’s absolutely unprofessional, unruly, and a hypocrite to say the least. I am sorely disappointed that I held this complex to such high standards at one point.\r more

my husband and i have lived here for two years. management was HORRIBLE for a year and a half of that. but they have had a change in management and they seem to be very nice. they are currently upgrading all the apartments with all new appliances. we will never see that but someone moving in will like it. the floor plans are nice. neighbors are quiet for the most part. no late night parties to deal with. \r \r all of our maintenance requests have been taken care of within the amount of time they say they will. our AC is broken today and they will have a technician out here this morning.\r \r i like living here. it is a SAFE community. all of the crime that has happened here while we were living here happened because people did not lock their doors. (both cars and apartments) and the instances were few and far between. Pros: spacious, well maintained, value for your buck, close to highway Cons: not the most friendly management more

Don't be fooled by a pretty face! 9/12/2006

Beautiful complex. Worst management on the planet. Other residents talked constantly about leaving. Couldn't wait to move out either after settling in. Maintenance? A joke. Dryer was broken when we moved in and still broken a year later when we moved out. Carpet wasn't cleaned when we moved in either. Don't be fooled by a ""pretty face."" Find another apartment. \r Pros: Pretty Cons: Well, pretty is as pretty does, and this is a poorly run complex more
