Completely Unprofessional. Sent my newborn there and his bottles were often lost and if they were sent back they belonged to someone else's child with breastmilk of that mother. \r \r Call you to leave work to pick up your child every time there is an outbreak of possible fever or anything from another child - if yours has a minor rash, cough, temperature, or spits-up - expect their staff to be relieved of your child by having you miss work to rush to get them. \r \r My oldest son went there for after care. His father and I coparent. I explained that we often do not get the same invoices - therefore when I would go in to pick my children up, I would ask for any balances and charges I may not know about. \r \r I was told on 3 different occasions when asking for invoices - with my checkbook in hand - that ""no one was available to assist me at that time"". Weeks later, my son's father has a mark on his credit in excess of $900, a large portion of which was ""collection fees"" they applied and assessed after refusing to give me invoices and allowing me to pay whatever these unknown charges were, in person. \r \r Money-making goal. They will not allow you to bring your own diapers for your newborns, because they want to charge you $35 extra a month to make money on that end, too. \r \r As for the older children left in after-care, expect to find them sitting alone in a corner when you go to pick them up. Do your research, parents. more

Horrible daycare 6/23/2011

When I would pick up my child in the morning, children would be crying and fighting and the ladies just stand around and talk. The owners Kim & Pam are absolutely rude. They did not care about the well-being of my child. The owner would constantly lie to me saying that I received paperwork when I didn?t. She also tried to accuse me of not paying her, this was the last straw. A few weeks later, I received a check in the mail of the money she owed me! It took everything for me to not show up with the refund check and give her a piece of my mind. The only positive thing about the daycare was my son?s pre-K teacher who was absolutely wonderful. I wouldn?t recommend this place to anyone. An absolute nightmare! I did find out later that an infant died in their care. Before sending your infant there you should ask them about this. This incident happened somewhere between the years 2004-2006. more

PLEASE DON'T TRUST THE OWNERS W UR BABIES! 12/23/2010

only because SOME of the teahers were lovely and did a great job teaching my child. THE OWNERS AND DIRECTORS ARE HORRIBLE!!!. THEY ARE GREEDY, RUDE, AND FAKE. THEY LIE AND HAVE FAVORITES. ITS SAD HOW MUCH THIS DAYCARE HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN SINCE THE NEW OWNERS, PAM & KIM, TOOK OVER. THEY ARE VERY SHADY. more

Do NOT recommend this daycare 11/12/2010

My granddaughter attended this school for 6 months and stayed sick. The owner/director covered up for keeping sick children there. Yeah, they go on & on about their sick policy but the truth is it's easy to cover your tracks when the owner/director and assistant director are related. Two weeks before we pulled my granddaughter out of this preschool it was cited by the state for failure to maintain complete medical/sick records regarding sick children. Please do your research before enrolling your children in any daycare and read reviews on them. Had we read all of the negative reviews on this facility it would have never gotten to the point that it did because we would have chosen another daycare. Please click on the following link to the the citation given to this facility by the State of Lousiana on June 29th and scroll down to citation # 5321-L. \r http://carefacility.dss.louisiana.gov/Documents/SOD_06292010_10236_217579.pdf more

We love Creative Learning!! 9/25/2010

We asolutely love Creative Learning Preschool!!! My two grandchildren have attended the school since they were born and one still goes there while the other graduated from their Pre-K. The owner, director and the teachers are absolutely topnotch. My oldest granddaughter even learned to read and do math long before she went to kindergarten and my grandson learned signlanguage as toddler and phonics as a 3 year old. I have dropped off and picked up my grandchildren there 2-3 times a week for the last 6 years and both me and my daughter have been very pleased with the staff, the care and what is taught. The school is part of the Quality Start system and is Class A and they follow an sick guide given to them by the health department. Sick kids can't stay and my family likes that. It help keep other kids well. Everyone is told about that when you first put your children there. All in all we have had a great experience at the school and highly recommend it to everyone. more

DON'T RECOMMEND!!! PLEASE DON'T SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!!! 7/9/2010

I do NOT recommend this place. Yes, the learning curriculum is great & the staff that had taken care of my daughter were wonderful, but different story with the owner. The owner puts up a really good front when you go in for the tour, but the reality is she is VERY rude & has absolutely no idea what goes on in her daycare. It was documented that my child never eat or drink any milk products & she lied on several occasions to try to cover up the fact they fed her milk products by accident. My child was in the 6mo-1yr class for the past 5mos along with a VERY sick child who was constantly infecting her. The owner made me believe that something was wrong with my child's immunity or had allergies & continued to cover up for the other child. One instance that I know she tried covering up was when I dropped my daughter off at 7:30 one morning I was standing right next to the chronically sick child when a staff member took his temp which was 102.8 and I heard the asst director say they n more

HORRIBLE DAYCARE! PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE! 7/9/2010

I do NOT recommend this daycare at all. Yes, it is a great learning facility & the staff that had taken care of my daughter were wonderful, but the owner was a different story. The owner puts up a really good front when you go in for the tour, but the reality is she is VERY rude & has absolutely no idea what goes on in her daycare! One instance that I know she tried covering up was when I dropped my daughter off at 7:30 one morning I was standing right next to the chronically sick child when a staff member took his temp which was 102.8 and I heard the asst director say they needed to have the mother come & pick him up. When I arrived at 3:30 that afternoon the sick kid was still there because the mother refused to pick him up because she said she didn't time for that. When I confronted the owner the next morning because my child fell ill with the flu (which come to find out that's what Parker had the day before) she told me he didn't go home because although he looked really bad he didn't have to go home because he wasn't running fever...she had no idea that I witnessed them take his temp. She immediately tried to act surprised when I told her that I saw it with my own eyes...she tried saying she never knew about the fever. I trusted this lady & believed her that something was wrong with my baby. After 33 Drs/specialists visits, 12 doses of antibiotics, 3 shots, 4 bloodwork orders, 2 sweat tests for CF, & allergy testing yesterday we find out there is absolutely nothing wrong with my baby girl & my feeling about that very sick kid the daycare has allowed to stay in her class without sending him home has been right all along. When I confronted the owner I was told that since he has been there longer than my baby that he gets to stay and my daughter has to leave immediately. She was enrolled there 5 months & has missed 62 days for illnesses so we've lost $1,085 in tuition for days we paid for but lost because she was sent home, spent $1300 on co-pays & medicines, $500 on her deductible, & $10,416 in lost wages because I had to miss work on the days she wasn't allowed in daycare, all the sleepless nights watching her feel miserable, & all the unnecessary needles & tests that she had to go thru. You're probably asking yourself how I know for a fact that it's got to be this chronically sick child who's making her sick...well she's been in an older class for a week now (away from that kid) and she hasn't even had so much as a runny nose. One of the daycare workers walked outside with me one day so the surveillance cameras couldn't see her & she informed that this wasn't the first something this horrible has happened & that they are very shady with running their business. The sick kid's mom had an established relationship with these people since her other children went there so she apparently gets better treatment than the rest. The owner hurt my baby & costs us a lot of money. I have contacted the state & have requested a full investigation & have contacted my lawyer. I should have figured something wasn't right when they never have a waiting list & they are never at full capacity.... Pros: they are a learning facility...that's about it Cons: Horrible people run the daycare...cover up lots of bad stuff more

Adults Lacking Basic Interpersonal Skills 6/24/2010

My child has learned a lot at this school and while that is extremely important, the one thing that is more important is that my child is loved and well respected. Some of the staff at CLP clearly aren't in it for the children. The director/owner is down right rude. She puts on a front with a lot of fluff when you go in for a tour of the school, touting how there is ALWAYS someone at the front desk who keeps an eye on the gate etc. Approximately half of the time I go there, no one is at the front desk. Learning curriculum is excellent, again, my child is leaving this school in a month and a half to go to kindergarten and can read. But they have absolutely horrible people skills and communication. Teacher was out for weeks and no one bothered to tell us what was going on. There were many other instances of issues here. There was a dead rat in the wall. The classroom was absolutely putrid, CLP didn't bother communicating with the parents. Again, it's like pulling teeth. There more

horrible 8/27/2009

This facility has been a thorn in my side I had to pull my child out because of several situations, and a year after leaving I get calls from parents telling me of the same kind of problems they that are similar to mine. They are so many other daycares in lafayette that are by far more interested in your child than Creative Learning is. I cant stress enough to find another facility besides Creative Learning to send your child. more

recommend! 10/15/2008

I absolutely love Creative Learning Preschool! Their professionalism and staff are way above and beyound what normal daycares in Louisiana provide in my eyes. The director and staff work hard to ensure that every classroom is taken care of daily and most of the teachers have been there for more than a couple years showing that their turnover rate of employment is indeed lower than most other daycares. I love this place for any child who is wanting to learn and grow into the leaders of tomorrow. more

dont recommend! 6/16/2008

My son was neglected and I pulled him out. There were several incidences that were unprofessional and rude. I have known on more than one occasion from different parents of Creative's learning inadequateness. I would NOT recommend anyone's child to be in this facility! more
