Horrible company and customer service. Contracted for work that was promised to start within 30 day. After 3 months we still could not get a date from the owner Jerry on when the work would begin. They lied about ordering materials for the job (contract stated they would be order 10 days after we gave them a $4000 deposit) After 3 months we learned they had not even ordered materials etc. I would Not do business with this company. You will REGRET IT. more

I hired Creative Building & Remolding to completely redo my master bathroom. During the installation their contractor assured my husband and me on separate occasions that the floor would be level. When the bathroom was completed the floor and toilet were NOT level. We reported it to the owner and sent him pictures. The owner said it would require extra work and expense; the installer NEVER said this.\r The owner did not offer any remedy until I filed a complaint with the BBB; even then he would not guarantee it would be level. \r I promised to UPDATE my online reviews, but he rescinded his offer when I refused to REMOVE my online reviews.\r I thought level was a basic standard of quality craftsmanship. more

The design team recommended creative and affordable ideals that maximized my unique kitchen layout and the custom cabinetry work was high quality. This is a family run business that is now being run by the son. The original owner would be so very disappointed to learn what has become of his company. Unethical. Horrible service. Disorganized and do not deliver what is promised. Take your money and hold it without performing the services they sold. Had to threaten over and over, even to get them to return phone calls. Never ever installed what we paid them money for. Run away from doing any kind of business with them. Go somewhere else. more

Kuffa Jr. & Associates\r 1/29/12\r Re: Robert McKinley\r \r The writer was asked to visit the above residence, review the past kitchen remodeling project and comment/evaluate same.\r The writer visited the above residence on 1-17-12, met with the homeowner, reviewed misc. related documents and observed the specified work. The following is applicable.\r The existing kitchen cabinets were re-surfaced with a plastic laminate on the exterior of the cabinet boxes, appeared to have new drawers and also a new plastic clad “wood grain” doors throughout. In addition, there appears to be a new upgrade Corian countertop along with a new sink, faucet and disposal.\r There were several shortcomings observed.\r A. There appeared to be a negative impact to the plastic finish on the upper wall cabinet doors over the range (appeared impacted from heat by the range).\r B. The Corian backsplash appears to need re-caulking with an appropriate product to minimize mildew/mold build-up in the joints and provide a proper seal where the backsplash meets the wall, top, etc.\r C. The white backsplash material behind the range is coming loose from the wall.\r D. Some of the laminate material on the existing cabinet boxes was coming loose in areas (see wall cabinet left of sink, etc.).\r E. Numerous cabinet doors and drawers need adjustment (doors are sagging and/or loose, do not align properly, stick, do not close, hinges make conspicuous noise, etc.).\r F. The pantry door does not fit the opening, but overlaps the opening in the wall with a substantial overhang of the new door over the existing opening and the door itself will not stay closed (see E above).\r G. Some of the end shelving that was added to the existing wall cabinets is secured to the previous end cabinet with screws that completely penetrate the old cabinet side and provide a sharp and hazardous penetration into the cabinet storage area.\r H. Some of the trim joints do not fit flush, are loose and ill fit.\r Overall, the finish carpentry work observed appears to be semi-professional and below industry standards.\r It is the writers opinion that there is probably a specific clearance requirement from a heat source that is specified by the plastic manufacturers specifications and this clearance is being violated by the current installation of the cabinet doors above the range. If that is the case, then to properly correct that specific problem, the entire wall cabinet over the range needs to be re-designed and replaced with proper clearance.\r As requested, the approximate cost to repair the above are:\r A. Install new cabinet over the range with proper clearance \r & heat resistance $ 588\r B. Clean out caulking joints & replace with appropriate adhesive/sealant $ 103\r C. Remove & re-secure laminate behind range (repair wall & replace laminate if necessary) $ 187\r D. Re-seal loose cabinet laminate where necessary $ 178\r E. Re-adjust doors & drawers & replace malfunctioning hardware where necessary $ 386\r F. Replace pantry door assembly to properly fit existing opening $ 346\r G. Case Design/Remodeling did an excellent job designing and executing an extensive interior remodel on our 100-year old Capitol Hill row house, including opening up part of a bearing wall to extend our kitchen the full width of the house, redesigning/moving 3.5 bathrooms, adding a spacious laundry room, moving/adding several closets, upgrading the plumbing and electric, adding recessed lighting throughout, and patching/refinishing the original wood floors. The project was expensive and required several contract modifications to achieve the results we wanted, but they worked with us to control costs where possible, and we are very happy with the end result. more

I enjoyed talking to them, and they addressed all of my questions. I appreciate everything they did for me. The second time around was a great experience. more

I was trying to remodel my mom's house, so that she can have a safer place to live. Getting into and out of the bathtub became very difficult specially after her operation. Looking for help in figuring out how to update her bathroom, I came across with the owner of Creative Remodeling. What amazing job they did at my mom's home! They gut renovated her bathroom, add a walk-in tub, install safety fixtures and accessories around the bathroom and everything in such a small area. From material quality to final design the result was simply superb. I finally brought my mom home today and I am so happy to see how easy for her to move around now. We needed to refinish the hardwood floor in a home we purchased, and also to have more hardwood installed. I hired Creative Building and Remodeling to do remodel of our Bathroom and kitchen. I was concerned that maybe the jobs were too small, but they graciously handled a list of about 8 small tasks in a couple of hours and was very reasonably priced.
