Crazy Tokyo Sushi

I am writing about my second visit to Crazy Tokyo. As a place to get a quick bite, this is probably right in the middle of the pack for me. The sushi is good to very good and is reasonably priced. I do wonder why sushi restaurants always say 1/2 price... that to me is like a car dealer saying today only sale :) I ran in the other day with two of my friends, we were in and out in 45 minutes without any problem.. the service is good and the fish was quite fresh but for me, it's just a utility sushi outlet when I need a quick fix :) more

Crazy Tokyo is hard to find within the shopping complex but it is worth it. The sushi is really good and at a good price as well. I would go back again. Pros: sushi more

Pretty cool sushi bar. Better now that the 1/2 price menu is back. Service is sometimes good; sometimes sucks. Once we arrived 45 mins before closing, they made us wait 20 mins to order, then they told us to hurry up because they closed soon - when other customers stayed longer than we did. I've seen horrible reviews on other websites also, and I don't understand. The food is good, the servers were delightful and the price was right. If you're a sushi connoisseur, maybe this place isn't for you, but I was happy and I eat sushi as often as possible. Yesterday was my first time and I would definitely go back. Their sushi bar is much longer than most restaurants in the area which is really nice if you like that. Normally, you have to wait or feel rushed that people are waiting for you. more

Great and interesting combinations sushi and rolls. Never have to worry to get wrong order, since all of them are delicious. Fish is always super fresh and tasty. Would love to eat there every week!. A great place to have an intimate conversation. its a big place and not overly pack. The food is flying of the shelf and doesn't have time to spoil. The service was great and I couldn't stop myself from eating. my bill did not turn out to be a high, I felt it was worth it. My husband and I went for lunch and were disappointed. The sushi was alright, not great, and the California rolls that come with the lunch special looked old; the avocado had turned brown. The tempura was undercooked; the potato was basically raw. I never got the tempura dipping sauce, and we waited forever to get soy sauce dishes. My husband ordered the wrong roll, so he asked to order a second roll. (He didn't ask not to pay for the wrong roll; it was his mistake.) The waitress told him she would have to ask if he could get another roll! The service was slow, and the food wasn't very good. We won't go back. it was horrible service, and food was NOT fresh at all! it was just just horrible. I will never go back.... that's for sure! more

We went there on a Friday night but it was not too busy. We ordered drinks and edaname, but our waitress forgot about the edame until after she brought our food. It took about 45 minutes to get our food and some of the order was wrong. Then I asked her twice for ponzo sauce and both times she said that she would bring it. She never brought it and I ended up just going to the sushi bar and asking the sushi chef for it. Then we ordered the tempura ice cream for dessert and it took another 45 minutes to bring it out. When they finally did bring it out it tasted terrible. Also, our drinks never got refilled, despite us asking several times.\r \r The sushi was pretty good-especially the lobster handrolls. But the service was so bad and so slow that it just isn't worth it. The waitress acted like she just didn't care. Don't know if we would go back again. Pros: Great Lobster handroll. Good prices. I love going here because of the cheap prices - 1/2 priced! Their lobster hand rolls are amazing, and they can pretty much make anything you want. It's a great place for sushi lovers, but they have other non-sushi items. Gotta try their lobster hand roll though, trust me. more
