Stay away. I have no idea how they stay in business. The food and the service left mush to be desired.

Our Fave Sushi in the Valley 12/8/2011

My husband and I have been coming here for years. The food is excellent, the service is always good, and the prices are low. The restaurant and restrooms are always clean, and we've never been disappointed with the fish. more

great for the price 6/10/2009

This is a nice low key sushi place in the valley. It's never packed and the food is great. I give it a 4 relative to where it's located and the price and quality of the food. Don't expect beverly hills service but it's understandable. more

Great sushi at a reasonable Price 6/24/2008

The menu at Crazy Tokyo is a simple, no frills compilation of sushi that is great for newbie sushi tasters and afficianados alike. They offer all of the best- tuna, california, eel,and salmon rolls with some fancy rolls put in for good measure. I just tried a seaside roll (don't remember the name exactly) that has scallops and crab- it was absolutely incredible and wonderfully filling- because sushi can sometimes leave you with with a half-full stomach. Although they do not offer their 1/2 off deal anymore- the sushi is still worth it and the prices are still very reasonable for the quality. Pros: Succulent Sushi Cons: no more 1/2 off deal more

No more 1/2 off sushi 4/9/2008

I went there for lunch today and discovered they no longer offer 1/2 off on their sushi. Supposely, it was discontinued back in January. No wonder for the lack of customers in the restaurant. What a disappoinment. Cons: no longer the best price sushi in town. more

Still one of the best inexpensive sushi places in the Valley 11/19/2007

I haven't been here in over a year, but the other day my friend and I decided to get over to the Valley and come back to a place we would visit weekly when we lived out there. Pros: Lobster hand roll!!!! Prices. Cons: Sometimes it has slow service more

If you want to ruin your night 6/18/2007

If you want your night to be ruined by terrible service and horribly tasting sushi then this is the place for you. I have never not tipped someone in my whole life, I think it is wrong; up intill I ate at Crazy Tokyo Sushi!!! more

Worst Service EVER 11/2/2006

Yes crazy is cheap, it's is centerally located but the service is the worst in the whole entire world. I went there w/ a co worker and we waited to be seated for 25 minutes on a Thu late afternoon, then we waited another 30 minutes for our server and another 35 minutes for our food, the waiter had attitude, they dont refill your drinks and can't speak english very well but thats not even the real problem, they don't even get your order right! Don't eat here, spend the extra cash and go to Kabuki Pros: cheap Cons: waiters are rude, place is dirty, bathrooms are discusting more

You would be crazy if you think this is Japanese! 8/7/2006

Yes, it cheap but what do you expect from a Chinese Knock-off? I took my Japanese friend there and was horrified to find out no one was Japanese! I saw customers bowing and saying ""Arigato"" to the sushi chef. He just smile and bowed back. What a con! Pros: Friendly service Cons: Not authentic at all more

User review by nicole82 1/10/2006

My husband and I have been going to Crazy Tokyo for a number of years now. The food is very good, and there is a wide enough selection of veggie sushi that a vegetarian can leave full and satisfied. Service is usually very good, but as the night goes on they can get very busy resulting in extending waiting for food. The atmosphere is simple but the food is very affordable, which I think more then makes up for it. I also had a birthday party here last year, and they were more then able to handle a larger group of people. Pros: cheap sushi, vegetarian options, very nice staff Cons: can be crowded more

YUM! 10/27/2003

Best sushi for your dollar! They have low price sushi and the high price stuff for what your looking for. Service is usually great. You'll enjoy coming here. Pros: inexpensive, good service Cons: parking more

Long Time Customer 9/5/2003

I have been going to Crazy Tokyo Sushi for years - it was the first sushi I ever ate at 18. While the tempura can sometimes be a little over or undercooked, the rolls are original if you vary from the 1/2 price menu, the service is usually quick and friendly and the fish is always fresh. As a customer of 7 years and a patron of all three locations, I highly recommend Crazy Tokyo to all nubi-sushi eaters and for the more adventurous who don't want to spend a fortune. Pros: value, selection, full bar more

roll on in! 12/31/2002

this place has easily become my favorite casual sushi restaurant in los angeles. burdened with the task of finding a decent one in the metro area, i headed to the valley and was blessed to stumble upon this restaurant. with a minimum of 3 orders per person, the final bill is slashed in half (not physically, though)! don't be wary of the cheapness, the sushi is great. the handrolls are yummy and firm (important for me), the sushi is fresh and tender. they have everything, too, which helps (some places don't carry philadelphia rolls, if you can believe it!). the only slight con is the service, which leans toward ""absent-minded."" i'll forgive that. Pros: great prices, yummy sushi, extensive menu Cons: location, service shoddy more

Great Sushi Great Price 10/30/2002

If you are looking for a casual and inexpensive sushi bar this is the right place! more

Great Value, Great Sushi 9/25/2002

This is a great place for inexpensive and really good sushi. The service can be slow at times -- we've had a couple of long waits to get our order -- but the sushi is always good and fresh. My favorites are the salmon, albacore, scallops, any of their cooked volcano rolls and, especially, the lobster roll which is maybe the best roll I've ever had. more

Insane Sushi 8/13/2002

You can't find better sushi for the price anywhere in Los Angeles. Swift and efficient service. Great fish and a half-price menu that won't empty your pockets while it fills your belly. Pros: Inexpensive, Quality, Authentic Cons: Often crowded, Ambience more
