I should have seen trouble ahead when the interior monitor was battery operated, not hard wired as I had been told it would be. Technician told me the battery operated monitor has a slower response time. Also one of the 3 doors did not trigger the alarm properly. I had not yet moved into the newly constructed house so I could not cancel the contract. Now I am moving to another state where CPI does not operate and the "agreement" states I must pay for the full 5 years of the contract. Not equitable. Not right.
Live response to an alert might give comfort ito the homeowner in the theoretical sense, but in reality the CPI voice screams at you and is sometimes not understandable.
Pros: Peace of mind when not home
Cons: Relocation policy, voice response, initial installation
