I love the cash coupons 1/4/2012

They offer coupons, and that was awesome! Why these other reviewers complain about discounts, i dont get it. As a small business owner I totally get that you can't offer everything for free, people expect TOO much. Stop tring to get everything for free people, these businesses HAVE TO make money or they go UNDER! This is callled ""common sense"". I think this place is great. Have been coming for years. I was happy to pay cash for the coupon. P.S. Food rocks here. Try the Fundido. more

Bougus Coupons 1/4/2010

Love the food, but watch out. They have many coupons, but you must pay cash to use the coupon. How bogus for an upscale resturant!! more

Excellent Mexican Food! 11/9/2009

Everything is just great about this place. The food is fresh and tasty... This is not a taco bell place. Service was great. Best magritias i've had. Not too pricey... Very clean. In the summer the outside opens. On a nice day its good to sit out there and sip on magritias. This place is the BEST! Pros: This place is in my top 5 places to go more

Best Mexican Food I ever had! 3/24/2009

Last night was my third time in 2 months and I must say this. Many places call themselves Mexican, but this restaurant has the best food I have ever had at very reasonable prices, Margaritas are great and the staff friendly and attentive, a must try! Pros: Georgeous Outdoor seating Cons: Limited parking more

Amaizing Food! 3/11/2009

My Dad is such a foodie and he always talks about Coyote Crossing as the best Mexican restaurant so I finally went there this past weekend, and I must say I was very impressed with the food, the margaritas, the friendly service and reasonable prices, I never thought Mexican Food can taste this good so two thumbs up for this wonderful place, can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks and sit outside besides the fact that I am already craving the seabass with the chipotle mint sauce OUT OF THIS WORLD! more

Worth the Money, worth the wait, tons of fun! 3/5/2009

I have heard so much about this place, once in a while a few bad comments about people who describe the place as expensive, however I guess this is the type of people that eat at taco bell and think american cuisine is Burguer king. Pros: This place is a Gem! Cons: had to park on the street and waited at the bar for 20 minutes oh well it was fun! more

Blown away 2/19/2009

I heard about this restaurant so many times, mix reviews, some good, some bad so I desided to give it a try myself, no restaurant that is mediocre can survive for 13 years in such a hidden location. Pros: Outdoor, Fair Prices, AMAIZING FOOD! Cons: little parking, oh well, plenty street parking more

Overpriced 12/8/2008

The food here is pretty basic, and very over priced. Skip dessert, it is not worth it. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Specials are ok. more

No I understand why they have been a tradition for 13 years! Absolutely amaizing 12/1/2008

When I read Gourmet magazine saying this was one of the best mexican restaurants in The USA I did not believe it, However I have been there 3 times in the past month and when I readthos horrible reviews by people who do not understand food made me very angry and I felt I needed to write my own review. The staff is very friendly, and the food incredible, fresh and shows dedication and flavor, I find the prices fair to inexpensive for what you get and the Margaritas are a must try, I will continue to patronize this fine stablishment that with the arrivals of all the fast food franchises has become more and more a hidden jewel. Pros: Athentic food Cons: Sometimes hard to park on the parking lot, oh well park on the street big deal more

Awesome 11/17/2008

This is the place to go for Mexican, in the summer you can sit outside, the have great food and awesome Sangia, make sure you get there early, they are always packed. more

Execellent Mexican food 11/4/2008

Love this place, usually take out of town guest to this place - the food is fresh and very tasty, the pitchers of margarita's are my favorite of all, and the best time to go is when the outside is open otherwise I think this little place is very loud, not sure if it's the small dining area with the high ceilings, but not a place if your looking for somewhere quiet. more

Great Place to have dinner with friends/family! 6/18/2008

I am, frankly, shocked, at the complaints about poor service. I have been here several times with various friends (we've even brought Mom once!) , and have never had rude or neglectful service. In fact, the waitstaff have always been very personable and friendly! I HAVE waited for a table for a fairly long time (once), but that time was considerably shortened by the pitcher of frozen margaritas at the bar!! For the record, I am sometimes embarrassing to my husband, because one of my pet peeves in life is rudeness, followed closely by poor service. I feel very strongly about tipping accordingly! (The third item on that list is 'misplaced' arrogance. You know, by waiters/waitresses who think that I should feel privileged to have them there at all!) Anyway, I will continue to patronize Coyote Crossing, and hopefully will not have the kinds of issues with staff, food, etc. that others have suffered through. By the way, I have never been to Texas, and only once to Mexico, but I think the food here is terrific!! And you can't beat the patio in the heart of Conshy on a summer night. If you didn't know better, you would never believe that you're in the middle of a neighborhood!! Pros: The Patio Cons: A little pricey, but worth the $ more

Very good Mexican! 3/20/2008

Great place to go for good Mexican food. Not greasy, good selection, very good drinks! Nice deck and place to sit outside and have sangria. Gets a little loud during happy hour, but still worth a visit! more

Best Mexican Food Ever!!!! 8/10/2007

Service was the not the best. As a matter of fact it was the worst part if you are not willing to wait. HOWEVER, the food was the best mexican food that I have ever had. Even the chip and salsa was the best I have ever had. I give this place a 5 for rating only because the food more then makes up for the service. Pros: Food, out door eating Cons: Service more

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE, ITS A WASTE OF TIME 7/24/2007

I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before!! After making reservations a month prior, (and confirming my reservations 4 times) I showed up with a large group and was told by the incompetent hostess, ""We dont take reservations."" Cons: Everything was horrible from the moment I walked in more

Terrible Service 7/23/2007

We called for months to get reservations outside for 16 people for my best friends birthday! They assured us it would be setup etc. We got there Friday night and they had NOTHING set up for us. The old bald man we spoke to said he doesnt take reservations.....we will never go back there again! AWFUL service and RUDE employees, for food that isnt even that good! Pros: outside patio Cons: Service, food, prices more

Very Cool Place, worth the wait. 7/15/2007

Hopefully all the bad reviews and high prices will scare away enough people so that I can get a table. Get the steak special...fabulous. It has been a special for over 2 years and counting.....haha. Have a few margueritas and shots of tequila and you won't mind the wait or the hostess. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Might have a wait. more

Horrible service 6/12/2007

Four girlfriends and I went here for dinner a few weeks ago on a week night. Three of us were present and we put our name in for an outside table. We were waiting on two others and they said they would not seat us until everyone was there. Hate that ? but fair enough I guess. Pros: Outdoor patio Cons: Everything else more

WORST SERVICE, NOT WELCOMING TO ALL NATIONALITIES!! 4/23/2007

I went to Coyote Crossings with 4 other friends and was told that outside wait for an hour and 45 minutes, and the inside wait was an hour. We chose to wait for the inside due to the shorter wait. However, after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, we asked the hostess how much longer we had to wait, she informed us that there were 2 people in front of us. I was at the bar and a couple who had come later than us, by at least 30 minutes, was seated before us. Meanwhile, over 4 tables outside had opened up and when we asked when we'd be seated, there were at least 3 tables that could accomodate us, yet they did not seat us. We ended up waiting 2 hours before my friend told the hostess, if you do not seat us, we will leave. Conveniently, they were able to seat us, but it gets better. We sat down and NOT ONE SERVER GREETED US, OR GAVE US SILVERWARE, OR EVEN ASKED IF WE NEEDED WATER. We waited 15 minutes yet no one came. We ended up leaving due to the poor service. My friend spoke to the manager and he gave him a paltry $30 gift certificate. Any reputable establishment would have comp'ed the entire meal. He was rude and did not care how he was treating us. He was not welcoming to all nationalities and condescending. The gift certificate has no significance to me, since I will never step foot in that establishment ever again. The table that they sat us at, there will 3 other open, the same exact size open, even when we asked how much longer we had to wait. I will report them to the bureau. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! more

Worst service host ever 2/10/2007

Called to ask about table wait, only to be insulted and snapped at. Have been there in the past and had great meals, but food is overshadowed by rude service expecially the friday evening host. Music entirely to loud. Was left confused and shocked. Pros: ok food, outside dining a plus Cons: service, loud music, dirty more
