This bistro serves up a robust tasting fare in a 1930's home. This is a BYOB establishment that is open only for dinner. The menu changes often and reservations are strongly re...

Don't bother making reservations, they will cancel them for you!!! 12/8/2007

Call at least 5 times to confirm your reservation, because they cancel them at will. We WERE so excited to try this place. I made reservations for my husbands birthday for 12 people, 12 days before the event. I didn't receive a confirmation call, so I called 2 hours before we were all supposed to arrive. They informed me that they didn't have the reservation. Then some research into their system, they realized that there WAS a reservation, but it had been cancelled. Since invitations had been sent out for this event, I clearly had not called to cancel our reservation and was expecting a fantastic dining experience. So I was stuck holding the bag, with 2 hours and 12 people showing up and I had to find a restaurant! Try Zest...it's right down the street!!! Pros: Wouldn't know, lost reservations Cons: Competent employees that know how to use their reservations system more

Love the BYOB 2/28/2007

This place was great, little house small private surroundings, and fantastic food. I had a great experince, i lvoe to sit and enjoy my food with no pressure. This was the place, you bring a bottle of win eyou want to look forward to, and they serve you food. I have the Halibut, that was great, the other two completely enjoy their Chicken stuffed with ham and cheese, and Cod. Highly recommened, just dont want it to get to crowded, love it the way it is now, so please not to many go at once. Pros: Food, BYOB!! Cons: crowded weekends more

Very romantic cozy atmosphere and delicious french cuisine 12/22/2006

This place is very unique and romantice (a rare find in phoenix!) The food is great. I especially recommend their brie and fruit platter - it's so good! All the entrees I have tried there have been exceptional. To be honest, I felt the tartes weren't 1/2 as good as the actual entrees...but maybe I'm just not that into tartes. I also love that the place is BYOB. It allows you to bring along your fave french bordeaux and probably saves you some money. I usually just pick one up at AJs Fine Foods on central and camelback because it is so close. This place is kinda pricey, but worth it if you enjoy fine dining. Pros: so romantic! more

Truly Great Dining Experience 9/18/2005

You can tell the owner and wait staff enjoy what they're doing. The food is magnificently prepared and served. I've traveled around the world and frequently in France. Coup des Tart measures up to the best. They can't do enough for you. You can bring your own wine, which is great for wine lovers and collectors in a city that doesn't encourageor permit it. My wife and I have dined during the week and on weekends, at all times of the year, even summer and nothing changes - just great food, great service and a truly enjoyable time. It's a small restaurant. Just go there and you'll understand my comments. There's a feeling of ""activity"" and ""enjoyment"" amongst the patrons. Pros: Exceptional Food, Exceptional Service, Reasonably Priced more

Top 5 in Phoenix 9/13/2005

I am a very picky eater, and so is my wife. This is a top 5 restaurant in Phoenix: Great international food with a French flare. Fresh ingrediants sans the pompous attitude of Scottsdale French-style restaurants. Service without the pressure. Pros: BYOB, Atmosphere, Service Cons: Parking more

unimpressed 7/8/2005

corkage fee $8??? Onion tart appitizer 25% onion tart 75% field greens, never offered fresh ground pepper, menu is grossly overpriced for quality, substance and creativity from the kitchen. Music was strange...Springsteen's ""Dancing in the Dark""???? Veggies on the Tuna entree were mush, risotto was also over-cooked. Desserts are decent, but over priced as well. Looks like a restaurant who is trying to be big city chic, but doesn't have the staff, culinary ability or vision to do so. My advice to the owners, drop your prices to meet the neighborhood, and work on the food, if you're going to charge big city prices. Pros: atmoshpere, location, BYOB Cons: cork fee, food, service more

C'est bon! 4/28/2003

I'd passed by this cute little storefront many times, always meaning to check out their pastries - I was wonderfully surprised to find a full restaurant with innovative fare and a warm cozy environment! You can't go wrong with any dish, and think about splitting an appetizer and salad for two. Bring your own wine, and SAVE ROOM for dessert! (If you do have a large group - reserve the larger room!) Pros: Atmosphere, Great staff, Changing menu Cons: Small, Make reservations more
