This boarding facility is wonderful. They’ve been in business forever and definitely know what they’re doing. The dogs are well cared for in a safe and sanitary atmosphere. It’s obvious that the staff loves the dogs. They go the extra mile to make sure your dog’s stay is a positive experience. Your dog will tell you so. Our dog gets so excited when we turn the corner to 282nd. He knows where he’s going and is happy to be there whether it’s for grooming or boarding. You can rest assured that your pet will be safe and well cared for at Countryside. more

Avoid this place at all costs!! 1/15/2010

Countryside will wring you dry of every penny you have. They overcharge to begin with, and in addition they charge for every single little thing they can. Walks, feedings, snacks, ""snuggles"", all cost extra! They feed all dogs a single serving early in the morning, but if you want your dog to recieve additional feedings they hit you with extra charges. So basically if you want your dog to be fed more often than every 24+ hours, you have to pay for it! The place is also severly lacking when it comes to modern technology... they have no air conditioning, and i feel bad for any dog that is subject to being boarded there in the summer. They ""solve"" this problem by spraying the poor dogs with water once a day. They also have no computer system, so checking in and out takes a huge amount of time. All their files are on paper and they have to hand write everything. The entire place also smells strongly of urine and feces, and although it is to be expected, the smell is overwhelming... which says a lot about how well they maintain and clean the place (NOT WELL!). Pros: Location Cons: Everything else more

Always the best 10/14/2009

I love Countryside pet spa! They have great employees and its a top rated kennel. I see people have complained about hours, but being a business owner myself I can understand being on time. The hours are explained and posted everywhere, so why cant people just be courteous . One of the reasons this place is so great is that it is family owned and I think its important to respect the family's hours of operation. As for the grooming, I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I know they are being treated with love there! You must book in advance. Like any great salon Katy books up in advance!! I know people who drive a couple hours just to keep their pets at Countryside... and there is a reason for it! I would highly recommend this place. Oh...and by the way that is not the address for this business. Its 7769 SE 282nd, Gresham. Pros: Great employees, dogs leave happy Cons: Not near the city more

Customer Service is NOT their priority 5/6/2007

I have used Countryside Pet Spa various times. The kennel is very clean and the dogs have a lot of room in their kennels. I believe that they are well taken care of. That being said, I went to pick my dog up (after driving back from Canada) and their closing time is 5pm on Sundays. I was 4 miles from the kennel at 4:50 pm and there was a lot of traffic. I called and informed them that I was almost there and they said I had 10 min. to get there. I arrived at 5:02 pm. Literally 5:02pm. The girl that works there closed the front door. I asked if it was ok to pick up the dog and she said ""Sorry, too late, it's already closed."" And proceeded to go back inside the kennel. Now is it just me or does that seem like awful customer service? I will not recommend this kennel to anyone that expects a good customer service experience, especially when they are not an inexpensive kennel, they are not the most convenient to get to and I am a repeat customer. I plan on doing a little research and finding a new kennel for my dog. It really marred the end of a great long weekend away. Please post suggestions of kennels in the SE area. I would appreciate it. Thanks! Pros: Clean, large kennels Cons: Non-existant customer service more

Inconvience at its worse 4/20/2007

The paperwork cannot be completed in advance and every little thing will require an extra charge. This place skimps on everything they can even feeding only once a day. I booked 2 weeks in advance during the off season and grooming wasn?t available that entire week. I did pay for extra play time but even that is only 5 min a day. All in all, I would rather drive all the way out to the West side to board my dog instead of going to this place 1 mile away Pros: attractive location Cons: everything else more
