Costa Insurance

This is the first time that I have felt the urge to write an online review about a company. I have never dealt with such low levels of professionalism and high levels of incompetence in my entire life. The agent that I dealt with is either just too lazy to have a job or really doesn't understand his own industry. (It could be a combination of both.) He didn't follow through on things he was supposed to do on multiple occasions, sent me incorrect forms for my car registration twice so I sat at the RMV for hours, gave me incorrect information about my insurance policy, and here's the icing on the cake: he tripled my insurance quote after getting me to switch from my previous insurance and paying the higher initial fees. When I asked him why it was increasing so much, he said ""I dont' know. It's not my fault, I'm just the messenger."" I was at a loss for words.\r \r When I told him that his business practices should be reported to the state insurance commission, he said ""you can't do anything to me!"" I AM NOT KIDDING - it felt like I was talking to a child. I cut my losses and gave up my initial payments to switch to a different insurance agency that day. The $300 I lost was worth getting as far away from this joke of a business.\r \r Since switching insurance agents to a professional that a friend of mine has been with for years, my experience has been great. I'm paying slightly more than my original quote here, but WAYYYYY less than what they tried to sucker me into. When I explained everything in detail to my new agent, he was baffled and his exact words were: ""that guy clearly has no idea what is doing.""\r \r Stay as far away from this agency as you possibly can. more

I have been a customer of Costa Insurance Agency for MANY years now, and I must say I was shocked to read this bad review on my agency. There was obviously a misunderstanding or, if it was an error I KNOW that all of the Costa Insurance employees, took immediate action to rectify the situation. I don't really read reviews that are posted on line about places, but was just looking on line to get their phone number and happened to stumble across this 1 bad review, and HAD to stick up for my agency!!! (your welcome, to my Costa girls) They have been in business for at least 25 years if not more, and I am pretty sure they have 5 locations. So, that alone says enough about how great they are. At Costa Insurance they don't make you feel like your just another Joe Schmo that walked through their door & needs insurance. I remember when I started with them about at least 8 years ago now, from the second I walked in their door they IMMEDIATELY made me feel welcome, with big smiles on all their faces. They were prompt, easy to deal with and they made me feel like they truly cared, and explained things so well. OK so obviously you all can tell that I am very satisfied with them so I won't babble on & on about this like I already am. Truly they are the best agency in the city of Taunton, & I will continue to be their customer until these old legs can't drive anymore. Oh & did I mention that they do have 5 LOCATIONS around here, I pulled out their business card and on it it says that their locations are as follows: Fall River, Attleboro. Plymouth, Brockton and the location I go to Taunton. Seems to me that a business with that many locations can't be all that bad. In conclusion, not to sound mean but I really think the person who wrote the not so nice review, needs to get their head checked or something. Apologies but I can't see how anyone would bad mouth such a cheerful & helpful agency. OK enough from me......Oh one last thing...........""GIVE COSTA INSURANCE A CALL"" THEY ARE THE GREATEST!!!! Everyone needs insurance so why not go somewhere that everyone is always so cheerful & upbeat and very willing to help you. Sounds like a no brainier to me!! I called to change my policy, they didnt follow thru with update. I got into an accident and had no rental coverage!! Also I swiched between policies from another insurer and they forgot to forward the 2A form to show new coverage. more

I have been with costa for several years and have to say they have been the best agent I have ever used. Pros: service and price Cons: parking is meter only more
