As a daughter of a physician and nurse, having worked in medical clinics for several years and the daughter of three children who have seen their share of doctors, I can honestly say this office has the worst customer care I have ever seen. I was forced to wait over 2 1/2 hours for an appt with my 2 and 4 year old. After asking how much longer it would be I was advised that my doctor had left the office and they might be able to get me in with another doctor. They couldn't tell me how much longer it would be. We left with no appology from them or a follow up to go over the test results we were there to get. They wouldn't discuss them over the phone and wanted me to come back in (come to find out the results were ok and we didn't need to do anything...but I only know that b/c I had another doctor get the results for me). They also collected money for lab work done and didn't pay the lab....creating an outstanding balance for me with the lab. In addition, they filed a collection claim on my account after only 5 days from the day they printed my bill. I paid the bill the day I got it and sent it back in. They hadn't bothered to review the insurance claim to see what I actually should pay and wanted to collect 100% instead of what my insurance covered. Again...no appologies. They are the only ped. urologists in Austin but my peditrician's office has heard numerous complaints about them as well. It is well worth the drive to go to San Antonio, Temple, Waco, Houston or Dallas to find another office. Dr. Seremetis was very nice the one time I actually saw him but that doesn't make up for the stress his office put on me and my children. Totally unacceptable from an office dedicated to children. A very sad example of how medicine should be practiced.
Pros: Dr. Seremitis was nice
Cons: The office staff was horrid, the billing department unethical, and the lack of respect for patient time is the worst I've ever seen
