Editorial review from Citysearch 3/31/2013

I have been to this church with my family. I felt the power of GOD in this building, with this Pastor at the front of the church!! So, if I were all ""you people"" I would be careful. In the end it is not the building, the Pastor (or his family), however, it is the Lord our GOD. In the end (final judgment) is with each individual soul. This Pastor is following what the Lord has placed in HIS heart. Who are we to say what that may or may not be. As I recall in several of these churches they teach that each must follow with the Lord down the path that HE leads them. Jesus was put down and made fun of, spit on, called a liar, beat, and then murdered; all for what?? All because of the path that HIS Lord led him down. So be careful. OH, yes, let the first one with out sin cast the first stone? How about, some scripture here before I go? Philippians 2:12, Galatians 6:5. \r \r As for you Pastor Nathan Morgan, John 14:1, John 14:27.\r I am not afraid to say my name. Brandy Ingram. I will be praying for you all, as I hope you all will be praying for me. God Bless. more

Where's the Good Gossip? 3/20/2012

I still, to this day, cannot understand how a person can say that Nathan Morgan or his family are doing any good down there at Cornerstone. They run folks off faster than Cabbage Patch can built them. Nathan and Ann are a mockery as soon as they walk out the door of ANY business they enter. Shame on those folks who laugh at them, but guess what... the townies are polite to their faces, but as soon as they leave, the truth of what Nathan and Ann have done comes out. The people they have hurt with their conditional love have names, family and friends and it just takes one bad experience to NEVER get a repeat visitor. It seems that EVERYONE around town at the shops, restaurants or stores know someone who visited and HATED it. There's always truth in the gossip around town, not all truth, but usually half and half. If this church is so great and powerful and full of love where's THAT gossip? Where's the gossip around town about how joyful Nathan and Ann are for living for God? Or the good gossip about how the doors are bustin from a full house, or how new folks have gotten the Holy Spirit? Oh, there isn't any? THAT BECAUSE IT AIN'T HAPPENING AT CORNERSTONE NOW OR THE LAST ____ YEARS NATHAN HAS BEEN THERE. hmmmm.... more

Thank God for a True Laborer 2/21/2012

My wife and I have been to this church several times to preach. I find it somewhat abhorrant that those who would attempt to throw stones at this wonderful church and the family that God is using to keep it going refuse to use their names. It's real easy to throw a stone when you are anonymous. It is especially disturbing when one claims to be a licensed minister and has the gall to speak poorly of a fellow laborer without at least the courtesy of speaking to them privately. This is poor ministerial ethics and you should turn in your license and sit on a pew for a while until you learn how to treat your brothers and sisters with some modicum of respect. I esteem the Morgans highly and respect their ministry. They have attempted to work in a negative situation and with God's help are trying to see it turn around. You the faceless and nameless UPC minister should be ashamed of your aberrant behaviour. May God have mercy on you for throwing such an ugly stone and then hiding behind a pseudonym. That speaks very badly of you and your ministry. more

Great Services! 2/1/2012

I am so glad to see that someone enjoyed our church services! It has been brought to my attention that there are a number of negative reviews about our church posted all over the internet, some in which I have supposedly replied to. As of 2/1/2012 I am writing my first response, so anything previously posted as impersonating me as Pastor of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church is false representation. Our church has not yet reached the 40 (or 80) member mark as some have said we had before I ran them all off.....we have not had that many people since I have been pastor here, so consider that if you read the negative reviews, as I will not try to defend each point by point. I must say that I was previously aware of some of the Google reviews because someone managed to call my phone, make the caller ID show my wife's number, then when I answered a computer read the Google reviews and instructed me how to find the website to read for my self. This same exercise was repeated in reverse as well, with the call coming to my wife's phone....that was really weird. ALL THAT ASIDE, we are having GREAT CHURCH at CORNERSTONE, and my suggestion is that you come out to see for yourself which of the contrasting reviews is true! Blessings, Pastor Morgan 706-219-3451 more

I was visiting Cleveland last week and I must say I was very impressed by this church, their pastor and the pastor's family! more

Avoid on Sunday and Wednesday 7/26/2008

.As a licensed UPC minister who has been a guest speaker at this church under Pastor Morgan I must echo the leadership concerns of posters I have seen here and other places (Google had an EXTENSIVE reviews by visitors with varied experiences which was removed by Nathan Morgan. An honest leader would accept criticism heartily). This pastor has gone independent and therefore the people under him have lost their avenues to raise concerns. He now sits without submission: a dangerous place. This pastor has moved away from the apostolic doctrine and is now preaching his own personal convictions as biblical law. A grave mistake. I am saddened by what I have seen happen here over the last 5 years. The loss of over 40 faithful members speaks louder than any review could. Each time I have visited there are fewer and FEWER local members present. WHY? Pros: Very nice updated building and grounds, kind friendly congregation (whats left of them) Cons: Aloof, distant pastor and his resentful family, cold to anyone who doen'st ""look the part"" more

Nice buildings but horrible leadership 7/6/2008

dead, lifeless, priase and worship feel forced and fake. Pastor seems like he's trying to sell you something HE doesn't even want or believe in..... Pastor seems like a slimy used car salesman...and his wife seems angry ALL the time..... never been somewhere so devoid of love for God or eachother... Pros: clean building and good parking Cons: sucky pastor and family more

Harsh, judgemental and I will never go back 7/6/2008

Pastors wife struck her own child on arm when I visited IN THE SANCTUARY! Heard her talk badly about a member who wasn't present. (totally unheard of) This family is a MESS and the disaster has spilled into their ministry... So sad really.... I won't go back to visit IF i ever do until they get a new pastor. Pros: close to town Cons: condemnation and back biting by pastor and family more
