I have been to a good number of dentist's offices . This is by far the worst one!\r The receptionist told me I had a $30 co-pay and I knew that was not true. When I pinned her down to the truth, it was a floride treatment she was trying to sneak in without me knowing it. \r This is one of many episodes. I am not used to doctors verbally arguing with you, but expect it at this office. It is much like a used car lot. The pressure they put on their clients is awful. Their costs are outragious...This place gets an F in my book. more

BEWARE - costs over 5k to do repairs there. Now I have to pay 29k to fix what they did to someone else! Stay away more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/18/2013

I have been seen routinely by this group for the past 2 and a half years, and had absolutely no complaints until today. I checked in at the front desk and told the receptionist that I am 32 weeks pregnant. She proceeds to tally up my charges for care that I was about to receive, and when I decline the $30 fluoride treatment (as I do at every check-up because I don't feel it's necessary: I have no cavities and get cleanings every 6 months) she turns on the hard sell. She tells me I really should get it since (according to her) pregnancy depletes your normal state of health and the consequences will be a mouth riddled with cavities without said treatment. I happen to be a registered nurse, and I'm appalled that a non-licensed staff member is providing medical advise, and within an earshot of at least 5 other patients in the lobby to boot. To assumption that fluoride is 100% safe to unborn babies is irresponsible as every drug has its associated risks; and the discussion of such risks needs to be between doctor and patient, not patient and receptionist (and all the other patients in the lobby). \r \r Then the receptionist asked if I had a note from my OB/GYN. Excuse me? I need a note to get my teeth cleaned? She gets the doctors who takes me to an office (finally, a little patient confidentiality is upheld) and tells me he really needs a note from my OB/GYN giving the green light to clean and exam my teeth. Without asking me any questions or assessing for himself what state of oral health I currently have, he flat out refuses. I had never seen this doctor, but I had the distinct feeling that he only wanted that note from a liability standpoint. Dentists are doctors, and they spend a long time in school learning about how all sorts of physiological changes that occur in life, including pregnancy, affect oral health. Shame on him for not practicing the evidenced-based care that is recommended for pregnant women and delaying my care. \r \r Oh but the saga of this dental group continues…\r \r My husband has an appointment later in the day. He knew he was in for a deep cleaning, but the office did not provide an estimate of services that wouldn’t be covered by our insurance, just simply slapped him with an $850 NON-ITEMIZED bill AND recommended another $2000 for crowns that are “leaking”. He had a bad feeling about this place from the last time he was there because he felt like they were scamming him, and I wish so much that we would have listened to his gut instinct and found another practice instead of going back. \r \r So he comes home with his discharge instructions that are handwritten on a scratch piece of paper; which is all well and fine, I’m as green as the next Coloradian, except that this “scratch” piece of paper is a tax form with 2 complete names on it! This practice is reckless and has their own interests above that of patients. Needless to say, we will be changing dentists. \r more

This place is terrible. They will try and sell you dental work you do not even need. I promptly left and went to another dentist with an actual private practice and he said everything they told I would need, root scaling and planing, cavity fills, were not truthful and that I did not need any of those things. I cannot believe these people are in business. more

These people are the worst. All they do is try to sell you on dental work you DON'T NEED!! Their ploy of the advertised $59 cleaning so they can get you in and then upsell you on services you don't need!!! more

Serious Dentistry and Seriously Great Team 5/8/2012

I've been seeing Dr. O'Neill for several years and if you want the best, this is the guy. Personable, professional, and proficient are the words that best describe him. His team is very caring and they remembered my name every time I come in even if there are new staff around. He does his best to give me the best treatment and there has been minimal discomfort no matter what takes place. I broke a tooth and was in a pretty foul mood, but left there with great confidence that I'd be presentable. He more than met my expectations because my teeth look like they belong to a model. He couldn't make the rest of me look like a model, but he sure made me feel like one when I smile. He made a temporary tooth for me to wear while the lab created my permanent tooth. The temporary was fabulous and no one would have guessed it wasn't my own. Ask for Dr. O'Neill. He's the one I trust with my smile every day. I'm glad I did. more

Worst. 2/22/2012

Before I go into my experience I want to tell you that I have since been to a different dentist for a second opinion. The experience I had at Cornerstar was startling because they were trying to tell me my mouth was jacked up and I needed thousands of dollars worth of root canals and crowns. My new dentist let me know that my gums are healthy. My teeth do not need root canals so I don't need crowns. I do need fillings and I found out I brush too hard, but root canals are not needed for me. My teeth look and feel fine other than the fillings I need. So don't try to tell me I'm blaming this place because I don't care for my teeth and I'm in denial. That's not what this is. I wouldn't bother posting such a negative review if I hadn't received the second opinion. After doing that I discovered how downright awful Cornerstar really is and I feel others who are looking for HONEST dentists need to know what to expect from them. The dentist who did my check-up and cleaning was rude and extremely rough. I don't use ""extremely"" lightly when I say this. It felt like she was shredding my gums apart. It was the most painful cleaning I have ever had in my life. She commented to me how much my gums were bleeding and how messed up my gums and teeth are. She would not get me anything to spit in either. The dental assistant (who was actually nice by the way) gave me something to spit into after the cleaning was over and seemed to be apologetic about the way the dentist was acting. The dentist mentioned nothing of preventative care or anything else about my teeth other than root canals and crowns. I believe she told me I needed 3 or 4 of them. I apologize, but I do not remember this woman dentists name and it doesn't appear they have her listed on their website anymore so perhaps she has left or been fired. I just know she wouldn't stop talking about very personal stuff about her husband, she loved Twilight, and something about her being christian. I learned more about her life than I did about what was going on with my teeth (and my throbbing, hurt gums after the cleaning.) She did some other stuff that was unprofessional like leaving stuff in my mouth (true story) and leaving floss between my teeth while leaving the room mumbling something about my teeth being too tight for her to finish flossing them. I mean, I could have flossed them myself. And I did because she didn't end up coming back for like 10 minutes. The whole experience was just painful and weird. (Edit: I'm pretty sure her name was Jennifer Parker.) Either way it wasn't just her that put me off. The dental group itself wants your money. I have since switched to the better, honest dentist I wrote about earlier. Basically, this Cornerstar place lied to me and were willing to do unnecessary procedures on my teeth in order to bulk up their wallets. That's kind of scary, people! My advice is to run away and find a real dentist who is honest and good at what they do. If you carry Delta Dental like me and you are near this area you probably see a bunch of Cornerstar listings. Ignore them. I ended up going to a practice a minute down the road next to the medical plaza with the ER and the helipad. His name is Sere S. Myers. He's honest with you and won't try to sell you on stuff you don't need. I recommend him because he's awesome and only a minute or two more down the road, but if not him then please go anywhere except for Cornerstar Dental. They come across as scam artists to me and from the looks of it several other people who have reviewed them feel similar as well. more

Unprofessional experience! 2/17/2011

This is the most incompetent, unprofessional and unethical orthodontia office! Do not go here! After 1 1/2 years of treatment, we received a notice in the mail saying that they made a mistake with our insurance and it the $1500 insurance payment was now due from us directly - or have our daughter's braces removed. We had made every monthly payment for our share during the 1 1/2 years. We had two orthodontists during this time - one quit during the first year and we were switched to the new one. \r During the 1 1/2 years we had approximately only 10 appointments. Due to limited staffing which they mislead us about in the beginning, appointments are hard to schedule and usually 6-8 weeks apart. The office cancelled two appointments on us and actually scheduled one for 8am when they open at 8:30 that morning.\r The office staff and front desk employees are just nasty. They treated us horribly even though their office manager admitted the mistakes on their part over and over. She apologizes more

They treated us horribly even though their office manager admitted the mistakes on their part over and over. She apologizes and apologizes but nothing gets better and they keep taking your payments. Today was our last day there. We were picking up the retainer and only the dentist was available to meet with my daughter. We were told to come in for a quick, 10 minute fitting. We scheduled this on her lunch break from school. We arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment, waited over 20 to be seen by the dentist. I stepped across the parking lot to buy her lunch since she'd be late getting back to school due to this delay and the dentist made a completely inappropriate comment to my 14 year old daughter!!! I called the office to speak with the dentist directly and he did apologize for his ""slip of the tongue"" but really is this the kind of health professional you'd recommend? I cannot stress enough that there are plenty of other professional, organized, competent and patient friendly dental and ortho offices in our area. This office is clearly not one of them. more

Found a new dentist 1/14/2011

I usually don't write reviews, however, after reading comments from the others regarding this office, I felt important to get another point of view. \r I too went to another provider every 6 months with a great check up every time. However, I learned I need a crown on a tooth that my old dentist never mentioned. Surprised by the xray that they can pull up on a computer right in front of you, I was a little upset that my old office never told me about it. In fact, this dentist saved me from having to get a more expensive procedure down the road. I felt that the staff was genuine, personable and was only interested in making sure that I was aware of things going on in my mouth. Never felt pressure to get it done, they simply let me know and told me they would be available whenever I wanted to address it. \r Unfortunately, when people don't want to embrace the fact that maybe their mouths aren't in perfect condition, they do the blame game on the ones "breaking the news." And really, how ma more

Avoid.. Very Iffy 12/6/2010

Yeah, like the other review, I just went in for something simple, and was told I needed two crowns. Huh. Despite having a perfect check-up 6-8 months ago from my home-town dentist, I am in need of 2 crowns? Right. The office and staff itself is nice enough, but I can't help feeling that the whole experience is to impress you with their technology and then spring a big bill on you. Oh, they'll even help you set up a payment plan for that big bill, too! :P I did have a free cleaning done, but even this felt empty: it was done very roughly, and it did not feel comprehensive at all. Skipping from tooth to tooth, doing one side and not the other, etc.. I will NOT be going back here, and I HOPE my next dental appointment with a new dentist will feel more satisfying. more

Don't go here!!! 11/4/2010

They'll suck you in with cheap/free X-rays and cleanings, but they really make their money by claiming you need pricey crowns, bridges, etc. I tried them for the first time recently and though my teeth were just fine at my last dental visit six months ago, I suddenly need thousands of dollars of work. Interesting. And the cleaning was the quickest and most superficial that I've ever had--the scraping was a laugh. Seems like they're more interested in having my teeth decay so that they can charge to fix them rather than doing good preventative care. The office just felt like a weird cult. None of the interactions felt genuine and they were clearly just out to get as much money from me as possible. more

Great work performed here! 2/4/2010

The staff here is very friendly, and explained my options for necessary work very well. I never felt pressured to opt for more expensive procedures. The email appointment confirmation is very handy as well. I will return to this location on a regular basis. more
