Ive been there before and the quality of food was decent to match the price..The service was poor unfortunately..I couldnt believe they charged me for 4 small tomato slices that didnt, for some reason, come with the tenderloin sandwich.. $.40 cents extra she warned..hmmmm Pros: ambience Cons: service more

Great food, but..... 8/14/2002

The food has always been excellent. The staff can be a tad slow at times, but always friendly. The only drawback: lousy coffee. Overall, pretty darn good! more

I have been going to the Corner long before it moved into its new location, and I can tell you that the food has always been exceptional. I was very hungry the first time I went there(or so I thought) and ordered the large biscuits and gravy. I was shocked to see a very large plate piled high with biscuits covered in home-made sausage gravy. I now order the small, and savor every bite. Pros: Inexpensive, Food quality, Selection Cons: Wait more

Great mom food! 8/14/2002

If you're looking for mom food, this is the place to go. The wait staff is friendly and downhome, the food is wonderful and the price is right too. more

down home cookin' 8/7/2002

This is very simply one of the best places in the KC area for what's now being called comfort food, that which most of us grew up on. Basic food done very well and plentiful. I can't believe that they're not also listed in best breakfast - the biscuits and gravy are excellent and, as most B & G fans know, that's hard to find. The presentations are NOT "to die for" but the food IS! Pros: THE FOOD! Cons: It's crowded more

Country Cookin At It's Best! 7/27/2002

Your sure to be pleased when eating here! From the spacious parking, the first look around when you walk in the door, to the friendly staff greeting and seating, you will feel like your at home in the country. Filled to the brim with the antiques from the good ole' days, the menu having many selections, your food is served up quick and hot, overfilling the plate. The enviroment is for family and friends alike, and especially seniors to glance back at the way life was growing up. The food is very reasonably priced. Also, unlike alot of restaurants smoking and non-smoking sections are available these are far enough away from eachother, where it will not bug the non-smokers lungs.I would definitly recommend this restaurant for anyone to try. This is a very tidy cafe, and they keep it that way! Pros: friendly environment, excellent food, inexpensive Cons: busy on weekends, more locations needed more

The BEST Breakfast! 7/24/2002

This is an excellent place to eat but plan on waiting because it's so popular. You can always call your order in and go pick it up. I recommend there "sticky buns", cinnamon rolls with carmel and pecans. more

Great Tasting Home Cooking 6/6/2002

This place is always pack, day or night. But they get you in right away. If you like a home cooking, with large portions, and the prices are very affordable. You will like this place! I am not much on eating out for home cook food, but this place has great food with great prices. Excellent for large families. Their desserts are homemade with huge portions also. Call in advance for carry-out. Must try this place! Pros: Good Parking, Inexpensive, No long waiting Cons: When they run out, of a food item for, the day. more
