AS good as it GET! Just had LASIK this morning by Dr. Gelender. It was amazing. Very thorough assessment, explanation of risks and what to expect pre and post op, and narrative through entire procedure. The nurse even held my hand through it and told me how good I was doing. They kept me calm throughout. It was easy, quick, and painless. Afterward, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND take some ibuprofen for when the drops wear off and definitely sleep the first 4-6 hours so you can bypass the majority of discomfort. Then, it's all amazing. You can see and it feels like a miracle. I am still in awe! My own optometrist referred me here because it is the only place he will go for LASIK. =) Remember, RISK/BENEFIT analysis are key. I have had no negatives, but those who did would have had those same problems anywhere and they were given all the risks before choosing to proceed. Good luck and pick Cornea Associates of Texas. I went to have Lasik done here about 5 years ago. At the time I compared this one and another one in town that advertised on the radio a lot (Cornea did not). I still don't need glasses and have none of the side effects they warned me were possible. more

I had PRK last year. I was out of commission completely for a week and was in pain and unable to really see for most of that time. It took months to stabilize, then I had to go in for another surgery because my vision was so bad. The second time was just like the first. So here I am a year later, over $4500 poorer, and I still wear glasses. Also, I have slight haze and my are are so dry I have to take drops every hour. I wish I could go back and not have the surgery. Pros: Nice office Cons: Would be better off had I not had the surgery more
