Cordova Animal is a wonderful veterinarian hospital. I feel that Dr.Ashley truly cares for my furbabies. I feel welcomed and the veterinarian technicians are very knowledgable. If something comes up with my pet and needs immediate attention, I can often get an appointment the same day. The prices are very competitive. I highly recommend Cordova Animal Medical Center for your pets! I hear they have great wellness plans for first time clients as well :)\r more

Dr. Ashley and the Staff at Cordova Animal are the most compassionate group of people I have ever met when it comes to taking care of my Pets. I know without a doubt they have given me much more precious time with my Sweet 17 year old Kitty Molly. I switched from another Vet to Cordova Animal and they have been able to handle and care for my Molly so much better than where I was going with her and have improved her quality of life by correcting the medications she was on and giving her a more comprehensive physical without having to sedate her like my previous Vet was doing. I know without a doubt they have prolonged my sweet girl's life and for that I am grateful. I have 4 pets total so I have asked many many questions to the staff and they have never made me feel silly with any of my questions. They are always very friendly and helpful and treat my pets as one of their own. I highly recommend this Veterinary office to anyone looking for kind, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people to take care of your furry babies. more

First let me start off stating that Dr. Ashley is the most caring veterinarian that has treated my dog. This is my story------ I have an American Eskimo Dog that was seeing a different doctor in the area. She was always scratching herself to the point of extreme soars and loss of fur. They put her on prednisone year after year with no change in symptoms. They also told me to use flea dips, frontline flea preventative, and in home flea treatments. My poor dog was not getting better so I took her to see Dr. Ashley at Cordova Medical Center. The first time I walked in the door the staff greeted me. The waiting area was clean and there was no line of patients waiting to see the doctor. That was impressive to me since the last place I took my dog I would wait sometimes 3 hours to see a doctor and that was with an appointment. Dr. Ashley did some tests and found the problem to be allergies. She even did a full panel blood test to make sure everything was ok since prednisone can have some bad side effects with prolonged use. She recommended Comfortis for the fleas. Not only did my dog?s fur come back after a few months but her skin is looking better than ever. Dr. Ashley carries the most effective and up to date medicines for your fur baby. She always answers all of my questions I may have about treatments or medications that I give my dog. If you are looking for an amazing and caring Doctor for your fur baby I would not hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Ashley at Cordova Animal Medical Center. more

I love my animals a great deal - and I say take your animals elsewhere. The service I received was poor, my animal was misdiagnosed, and I really felt that the cost for services were very high. The clinic felt dirty and I will not being coming back here ever again. There a many nicer places in Pensacola, and I suggest looking elsewhere. Also - look at the date of the two positive entries below - they were both done on the same day two months ago - highly suspect for staff who work there and not legitimate reviews. I would also suggest checking out the yahoo reviews - these had more people that were unhappy like me - which paints a better picture for why not to take your animal here. more

Cordova is Great and I love Dr. Ashley and Staff 4/18/2012

I think it is really sad when ppl are wrong, but take to blogs to bash ppl. I've been taking my pets to Cordova for over 5 years and have never had an experience like the one described by lucysmith126. Dr. Ashley is a highly intelligent Veterinarian and her staff starting with Kareema are not only polite, but trained, educated, caring and patient. When my husband died 3.5 years ago Dr. Ashley started making house calls because I was unable to drive. Kareema often picks up my pets for things that can't be done at my home and brings them back to me at no extra charge. My elderly neighbor and quite a few of my friends also go there and are treated the same way. The other staff is always ready to lend a hand weather it's taking someones food to their car, or 'Cordova Wheels for Seniors"" where they pick up and return elderly clients pets for exams, baths, ect.... I'm not sure where lucysmith126 went, but they are better off without her as a client. Cordova is my Dream Team! more

We had a great experience! 4/17/2012

My husband and I got our new puppy in December and our neighbor referred us to Dr. Ashley. I have brought Max in several times to see her and have been very satisfied. The nurses were helpful and Dr. Ashley was very nice and wonderful with Max. We are very pleased with our decision to use Cordova and plan to continue using them to take care of our precious yorkie! more

Beware - go elsewhere 4/13/2012

Very concerned with some of the practices that occur at this clinic. I even considered reporting this establishment to the Veterinarian Medical Board. There is only one vet and she relies way too heavily on her technician staff. Whenever I brought my puppy in for care - the vet never spoke to me and only the technicians would provide me with the results of lab tests, etc. Because the technicians do not have the training, they were never able to answer my questions appropriately. They made many mistakes and acted as if It was my fault they had messed up. Considering how costly veterinarian care is - I would expect to see the veterinarian once in a while. Additionally, the technicians can be extremely rude to you if you do not agree with her. The clinic has the technicians acting like veterinarians - which is very dangerous. The office is also dirty feeling, small, and there is no comfortable place to sit. You basically have to sit on this hard bench. Additionally, if other animals come in while you are waiting - you are crammed next to them - which never made me comfortable since I was unaware of what illnesses these other animals had. Please save yourself the heartache and find you self another vet - one that actually cares about the animals. I am very happy at my new vet and wish I would have changed much sooner. I also noticed that I was being grossly overcharged at this establishment. My new vet is a small establishment as well - and it costs 1/3 of the price of this facility's services. If you care about your animals as much as I do - you will heed this warning. more
