i grew up in a family who loves the boring long island bakery - generic cookies in different shapes with bland toppings, tricolor cakes, cannolis, cream puffs. well, this bakery is a few steps beyond that for sure. they really know how to make some amazing pastries. my favorites are the lemon bundt cake - perfectly moist and bursting with lemon, with just a tiny hint of crunch around the edges - absolutely addictive. the danish are not dried out like most bakeries - but flaky, and exquisite. they also have an excellent selection of breads. i will also recommend their black & white cookie - unbelievable.
