DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Both my wife and I purchase a groupon for laser hair removal. They burned my wife with the laser and did not call her back until 2 days later after we complained. My treatment was fine and figure i just get through it, but during my fourth treatment, they burned my chin very badly. All they do is apologize, but have made no remedies and have yet to return my call still. I am considering litigating. Very poor service, and unprofessional. more

Horrible bedside manner...I had this doctor as my primary care physician several years ago. Along with long wait time in the waiting room Dr. Cooper had a rude attitude.I remember waiting for over an hour when I had an appointment. The pharmaceutical sales people would be let in right away while the patients were stuck waiting to be seen. At first, he was really nice but during one visit he was so rude and disrespectful that I changed physicans the next day. I was sure I had strep throat (I had experienced the same symptoms before and was diagnosed with strep throat) and I asked my husband to accompany me in the exam room since my throat was so raw, it was difficult for me to speak. When we both came in the room, Dr. Cooper looked at my husband with disgust and stared at him for a minute. He told him it was hard for me to talk. Dr. Cooper was so rude and just gave us a dirty look...didn't say anything. I struggled to tell him that I thought I had strep throat and asked for a culture. Dr. Cooper just looked at my throat and said no you don't and wrote me out a prescription for pain medication. I was appalled. I never went back. I can't believe he's doing laser treaments now. I guess that's where the money is... more

Had a groupon for a photo facial. Waited 42 minutes. He saw me for 8 minutes and managed to singe off top layer of my eyebrow. What a terrible experience. Will not go back and getting a full refund from groupon. more

terrible doctor, I loved Vicky though 12/29/2011

Everytime I go in I always wait atleast 45 minutes after my appointment time, the last time i waited 2 hours and there was a man who had been waiting for 3. And for a doctor, Dr. Cooper does not seem very healthy. Once i asked a nurse what took so long to be seen and her response was "" ask him, we all want to know too"". I also had bloodwork up done over a month ago and they never called to tell me the results. Vicky was wonderful but sadly she no longer works there, probably because she got fed up with Dr.Cooper, I have never had a good experience with Dr.Cooper, he doesnt care if he wastes your time, he she not have become a doctor.\r Signed,\r A sixteen year old more

Cares more about money than the patients 10/17/2011

Just went to find a doctor since I was new to the area for a physical. My appointment was at 3:30 and I finally saw the doctor at 5:30. This was after he took a temp into the next room (yes the walls are thin and you can hear everything) and berated her about turning away a walk-in patient because of the appointment schedule which I was part of... Suffice to say I wanted lab work and fasted accordingly and by the time he saw me 2 hours after my appointment and bullying an office temp the lab was obviously closed. I met the doctor for 5 minutes and still got charged $120 for my visit even after telling them I would not be returning. This office is far from professional and I would not recommend it in the least. more

Great NP's, poor office staff 3/23/2010

I've been going to this office for over 10 years, because I love the Nurse practitioners, but am leaving because of the office staff.\r \r I was supposed to be referred to a specialist, and a few weeks later, had still not heard anything back from either office, so I called to check in. . .long story short, they had the incorrect contact information for the specialist, and apparently didn't know this because they send faxes via computer, and don't get confirmation about whether the faxes are received or not.\r \r Maybe they just have too many patients? \r \r Again, the NP's are great, and make every effort to help you, but if you want to be a patient here, you need to do a lot of following up. \r \r Pros: Vicki and Teresa Cons: Office staff doesn't really care. more

Would not recommend this dr.'s office! 8/18/2009

I have been seen by this office for many times and never had a problem until I was out of work for a back problem. First they diagnosed me as have a kidney infection and had me on several antibiotics for a month before they realized it was something else. Then they had me get an MRI on my back which showed areas of concern. It took their office several weeks to get a referral to see a specialist and into physical therapy. By the time I actually was seen by both specialist & therapist it had been 8 weeks that I was off work. To make a long story short Vicki wanted to release me back to work after I had lost my job due to being out for 12 weeks. I would never recommend them to anyone who may need services outside a basic checkup or visit for a cold/flu.....\r Cons: Poor Service more

Very Happy with this practice 6/1/2009

I have been going here for years. Very happy. Particularly with how quickly I get an appt. Once, when I was about to leave on a trip, I had small medical problem. I just went right in, ask to see my doc (Vicky). 5 minutes later she was taking care of me. I have read the negative reviews here... bunch of big babies. So the young girls up front chatter. I don't care. So you cant call for an appt. At lunch, I just don't care. BTW, I almost always see ""Vicky""... she is tops! Pros: I call for an appt. Ususally get in an hour or two later more

Great MD, NP, PA and staff 7/11/2008

Dr. Cooper, Shannon and the PA (Sorry, I don't remember her name) are great. I have been a patient for about 3 years and have seen all 3. They are personable, thorough and caring. They are up on the latest preventive care guidelines and medications. They ensure the patient gets excellent care and are willing to spend time answering your questions. I was able to schedule a same day appointment when I called about noon! Dr. Cooper dxed my TMJ when I thought I had an earache and prescribed the appropriate tx. The receptionist who took my call that day was very empathetic and assured me the Dr. would see me that day since I was in pain. I highly recommend this office. It's almost like seeing an MD before HMO's. Pros: good medical care more

They Truly Care! 10/11/2007

Any bad reviews for this doctor's office just must be people having a bad day. That happens. But this office is fantastic! I have moved out of the Folsom area, but still drive to Folsom from Colfax because I refuse to go to anyone else. His nurse practioneer is incredible also, Shannon. The staff has been friendly, and Dr. Cooper and Shannon have been very personalble and very excellent in helping me through the years. They have both gone above and beyond for me, and I am very grateful for their care. more

Unprofessional Receptionists, Dr. Cooper needs to listen to his patients 5/3/2007

Doctor Cooper is a nice personable, knowledgeable Doctor. However, my issues are that he rushes with his patients (not just me) and doesn't really listen to them. He seems easily distracted while he's visiting with you, like he can't wait to leave or he isn't interested in listening to your symptons.\r \r I know three other people who are/were patients. One stopped going, she didn't care for him. The other has the very same issues I do, and the other is fine with him.\r \r Also, I had to laugh when I read the other reviewer mentioning their two hour lunches. I tried numerous times from about 11-1 p.m to get ahold of them and they actuallydid have two hour lunches.\r \r Also, a couple of times I was in the waiting room (alone) the three young girls up front were doing nothing but gossiping and talking about guys. Did they not know I was in there and could hear their every word? Couldn't they wait until their two hour lunch to gossip? \r \r I just found it rather unprofessional as this gossiping went on for the entire time i was waiting which was about 20 minutes one time.\r \r Bottom line: I'm asking around for another Doctor, and doing some research. more

awesome doctor! great practice!! 4/4/2007

I dont know what that last person was talking about. Dr. Daniel Cooper is a GREAT doctor with an AMAZING practice. I have NEVER had any problems getting a same-day appointment when I call the office in the morning. The people who answer the phones are extremely nice and get back to the patients in a timely manner. The receptionists in the front are friendly and very personable. The medical assistants are knowledgeable. The physicians have high standards in patient care and have excellent physician-patient relationships. The staff are always professional and the office is very clean and well maintained. Overall, I would highly recommend having Dr. Cooper as your Family Practice physician!!! Pros: great staff and providers! Cons: nothing more

Dr. is ok, but practice in general is horrible 1/24/2007

Receptionists are rude and vague on the phone. Its like pulling teeth to make an appointment. The worst part...i mean so freakin annoying...their office is open like 20 hours a week. 2 hour lunches in the middle of the day with zero phone coverage. messages go unanswered. I mean, if you ahve a job where the only time you ahve to make an appointment is during your lunch break...good luck. I cant belive the way our country is going with medical insurance. I mean, I went into the wrong business...you know that office cleares 50 grand a week from insurance money for a part time job. On the upside...if you do get in to see Dr. Cooper, he seems to be a good thorough dr with a good personality.....and he speaks english! Pros: The Dr. Cons: the process of getting to see him more
