Carousel and River Front Walkway! 12/1/2005

The most outstanding thing about this park is the Carousel! It is a good old fashioned Carousel with Rabbits, horses and Tigers! It's giant and there are as many adults riding it as children. When your done run through the huge lawn down to the river. There is a path that follows the river all the way into the downtown if you cross over the bridge. There are lots of little shops, bakeries and restaurants all along the park as well, so you can pick something up if you forgot to pack a picnic or just need a snack. more

Fun for the whole family 8/22/2005

This was one of the best places to go in Chattanooga. My playing in the fountain. They played for hours and had a great time. This is a great place to go with he family. The fountain is free and the carousel is 50 cents a ride. Just be sure to ride the carousel before they play in the fountain because there are no wet clothes allowed on the carousel. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day. more

Coolidge Park 8/19/2005

A downtown park on Chattanooga's Northshore waterfront. CoolidgePark features a beautifully restored carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, and lots of open space. Take a romantic stroll along the riverfront, picnic on the grass, watch the children playing in the fountain, take a ride on the hand-carved carousel. This park has a lot to offer. Close to shopping areas and eating places. Perfect for family fun. No pets allowed. more
